skindogger47 12-07-2005, 07:10 PM Andre Johnson.
I consider him a younger version of T.O. without the superstar attitude. In the right system, he has the potential to be an absolute beast. He would be the perfect complement to Santana Moss.I have been praying for this to happen, we would have the Miami Connection as our offense, it would be unstoppable. I was hoping that we could land Javon Walker, but that probably won't happen either.
Longtimefan 12-07-2005, 09:36 PM I Would Prefer J Peppers Because That Guy Has Great Athletic Ability And Is Maybe The Best De In The Nfl.
Plus, he's the ultimate team player with a great attitude. Fits one of our most pressing needs.
Schneed10 12-07-2005, 10:40 PM Guys I'd Want:
1) Peyton Manning
2) Ladainian Tomlinson
3) Tom Brady
4) Dwight Freeney
5) Shaun Alexander
6) Walter Jones
7) Chad Johnson
8) Simeon Rice
9) Jonathan Vilma
10) Carson Palmer
I would Love To see T O and Moss on the same field at the same time
The NFC EAST would belong to us, for the next 3-4 years and we probably could make it to a Superbowl or two imagine that.....I've would have died and gone to heven.......The San Antonio Spurs..win the NBA Title and The Washington Redskins win the Superbowl...I would have bragging right until the end of Time
mheisig 12-09-2005, 09:38 AM Adding Peyton=best offense in the league. Adding Freeney=best defense ever
I'd actually go with Peyton. We would win every game, all the time.
I'd go with the illegitimate love-child of Manning and Freeney, make him workout a whole lot so he has great endurance, and then play him on both sides of the ball all game long.
Top THAT.
#56fanatic 12-09-2005, 10:02 AM Freeney would probably be the sensible choice and make the most impact but what about Payton Manning? Or Michael Vick maybe, just the get the pulse racing?
Peyton is awesome, no doubt. But with only 1 good receiver he could possibly struggle. Vick is overrated. I might get blasted for that one. Vick is a good player, I just dont see where is worth all the hype. He is explosive, great arm, not very accurate and I would like to see how good Atlanta would be with out the great running game they have.
My choice for a fantasy player would be........Steve Smith. With him and Moss, WOW, that would be nice. Who gets doubled? if they put safety help on both, Portis would go nuts, and Cooley would turn into the best TE or H-back in history!!
TheMalcolmConnection 12-09-2005, 10:04 AM I completely agree. Vick is overrated as hell. But EVERY SINGLE TIME I saw that, someone is like "But he's the most exciting player in the game!" Yes, exciting in the fact that you don't know if he's going to break a leg, throw an INT, or get sacked for a 20 yard loss because he decided to scramble rather than throw a TOUCH pass to a wide-open receiver, but I must neglect those facts because I forgot he IS very exciting.

I'm not sure if Manning is good because he's surrounded by other amazing players, or if the other players are good because they have Manning. From watching almost all the Colts games this season, I'm leaning toward the former.
Manning is playing at a level that is beyond anything I've ever seen or heard about. He basically runs that offense himself. His audibles are almost always perfect, he manages that team and directs the plays like nobody else in the league. I think the guy is playing football on a mental level that is in another universe compared to any other QB.
It's the little things he does - the constant hurry-up offense wears the defense out, and he gets 1-2 "12 men on the field" penalties on the other team per game because he's so alert and catches them off guard. Defenses get run ragged and can't even substitute.
And that's just his managing - take a look at his arm. His throws are just phenominal. Yeah, you can argue that he has all day with that offensive line giving him protection, but I think that's due in large part to the fact that opposing defenses are terrified to blitz him. He goads the defense into showing him their blitz early, audibles to the perfect counter-play (and does it perfectly, it seems, 90% of the time) and then makes them pay for the blitz.
Is manning helped by the likes of Harrison, James, Clark, Wayne and an incredible defense? Absolutely. But I firmly believe Manning is the key ingredient in that system that makes the team what it is.
Call me crazy, but I'd trade any player on this 'Skins team, heck I'd trade any 10 players on this team for Manning. His dedication and intelligence is contageous and I think he has an amazing ability to make those around him great players. Trade anyone or any group of guys for him and build a new team around his talent. Unfortunately that'll never happen, and a guy like Manning only comes along once in a lifetime.
But hey, this is a fantasy thread and I can dream. While I'm dreaming, might as well talk about this dream I have about Carmen Electra and Denise Richards...
SouperMeister 12-09-2005, 11:30 AM Osi Umenyiora, who we could have drafted in '03, but the OBC just had to have his boy Taylor Jacobs when he was still on the board. BTW, Anquan Boldin was also still on the board when Jacobs was selected. Classic case of passing on a better player due to a poor 40-time at the combine. Imagine Boldin and Moss together - now that would have been a top-3 WR combo. And speaking of Jacobs, can anyone name a single WR from U of Florida picked in the first two rounds that amounted to anything?
