FOX just has , by far, the worst commentators. ABC, CBS and ESPN have much better ones, even NBC had better commentators back when they had nfl games.
I totally agree. Also, Baldinger is THE worst announcer/commentator out there. The guys is a total toolbag.

I totally agree about the wack FOX commentators--actually, I thought Baldinger WAS Mass for the first quarter or so. What weasles. I just refuse to believe that there is no one else in this nation better qualified to call games than these bozos.
As for Tony, this was a great piece. I like him, but I definetely prefer it when he's being relatively positive and not so snippy and sarcastic. But this was a good column--he called out the right folks, and was psyched for the win. (Anyway, for the Bandwagon alone, he gets a free pass in my book!)

I love Tony, have since the day that he and Wilbon were talking about the crazy names people give their kids these days, and when Wilbon asked him if he thought it was okay, Tony said, "No, it's not okay and here's why. When my son was born, I wanted to name him Budweiser. So his name would be Budweiser Kornheiser, obviously. But my wife wouldn't let me do it, so none of these people should be able to do it either." Classic.
And the guy knows his sports.
As far as the FOX commentators, they were acting as if the game was over as soon as we went up 24-9. I was pissed, especially after our last 3 blown wins. At least we can win a damn game on Fox though. I hate CBS because we ALWAYS lose, I don't care if they don't have anything to do with it or not.

Actually this isn't the first time Kornheiser or Wilbon, for that matter, has called Sally J. out on commenting on D.C. teams from her N.Y. office.
I can't remember exactly when or which team, but Wilbon really ripped her on TV a couple of years ago over this same thing. So sweet!

I remember when Sally J. would rip Michael Jordan for living in Chicago and flying back and forth to DC to be president of the Wizards, Wilbon said something to the extent of "how ironic coming from a columnist from the Washington Post that lives in New York, Jordan has probably been to DC more times than she has."
