Ed Reed has the best college carreer in my opinion for a saftey. That guy was freaking nuts at Miami. He will proboly end up having the " Worst " Pro carreer out of the three. I put worst in quotes because hes still freaking awsome.
For Tight Ends, I dont remember Heap in College, but Between Shockey and Winslow, Winslow was better in college. Shockey had so much around him, that he really didnt shine as much as Winslow.

I would have to say Williams at safety. He was a hammer and made Oklahoma a scary D, where as st and ed reed played with many other sick defenders. At tight end im going with Heap, again he had nothing at ASU and was the primary reciever much like in baltimore with there lack of receivers.
SEAN TAYLOR at #5!!!!!

Williams was nasty in college. His star might shine brighter because he was'nt surrounded by quite the talent that Taylor was.

I gotta go with Taylor and Heap. Williams hit hard, but Taylor changed the game, and I'm a bit ignorant as to how Ed Reed did in college, I'm only famillier with his pro record. Taylor won a couple games by himself for Miami, if I remember correctly.
Todd Heap beat Shockey for the ____ trophy (best TE in college, can't remember the name) for good reason. Billick said that he'd take Heap over any other TE in the league, and I agree with him. Winslow might change things, but if nothing else just for attitude, I'd take Heap. As the above poster said, Heap was it on his college team.

Well, first im going to rule out Williams and Heap... lets just go ahead and get that out of the way. And sinec I went to most of teh other four players games, or atleast watched them I can make an opinon on them....
Well, first what is a slightly easier decision, id have to go with Winslow over Shockey. Shockey is a better blocker, a little bigger and better at running over people. Shockey was part of an offense that could score at will. They crushed the record of average scoring drive time. It was like a 1:30, AVERAGE over the ENTIRE season. Having Shockey, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Ken Dorsey, Clinton Portis, Andre Johnson playing 3rd or 4th string...Mount McKinnie on the oline. It was sick. In Winslows case though, he made a huge impact on offense. Was the emotional and statistical leader. Winslow won games for Miami, some 4th and long highlight reel type catches. You could have taken Shockey out and they still would have won, but by mabye 40 instead of 50 points.
Between Taylor and Reed...hmmm. Ed Reed won games for Miami by picking them off and running it back 95 yards to win the game. Taylor won games by himself to. He scored half the points against FSU I think. I think he scored on a pick and mabye a reverse punt return. This is a tough choice, if Ed Reeed and Roy Williams hadnt both been studs in teh NFL then the safety position would get as much credit as its gettign in this draft. I think Ed Reed is the best safety in the NFL already. Id have to say Taylor was better in college though. FOr the same reason as Shockey. Taylor had the biggest impact on defense and alone scared the other team. Reed had a defense that was scary at every position. Face it, the Canes that year had one of the best teams ever put together.
