Hear me out... I have been reading all the "sky is falling" threads. Let's look at the facts for a quick second. Dallas is playing Denver; arguably one of the top two teams in football. The Giants are playing at Seattle against a team that has the best record in the NFC.

Let's say they loose and we WIN (HOLY SHIT after reading these some of these posts). That means we would be only one game back with two shit teams up next. PLUS, our division games are at HOME vs both Dallas and the New York Giants. I'm not saying were gonna win all those games but as fans let's at least have a little optimism.

And we beat Seattle!!!! Making us the best team in the NFC! WOOO!!! The Beast of the East (that's for BigSkinBauer)

I think this season is going to come down to the wire, but the Redskins have to take care of their games. If they can't win their own games, it won't matter who else loses to who (or is it whom?).

I think the Chargers game goes to overtime and I hope we win

yess take it one game at a time, and forget first the games of the two division rivals and concentrate of beating SD first

NOW , having recovered sufficiently from alcohol induced coma (strickly for medical reasons). Take a look at it realistically. Come on, you are Redskins fans-you have had to live on what "could have been" for YEARS.
The facts are, we should have no problem winning 4 of the remaining games without incident. That leaves Dallas, and NY. if we split, what the hell! Win out? It happens. this years Cinderella story. Sometimes, you just have to believe. For the last 10+ years, as Skins fans, you have to believe alot!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean come on, we have a hall of fame coach running the show, a former pro bowl quarterback running the offense, a pro bowl running(? I think), and a receiver and H-Back who should be in the pro bowl this year. The last two weeks have been heartbreakers for us, but I do think we can turn it around. We MUST beat the Chargers though. I believe if we are going to get things moving in the right direction again, it MUST start this week.

all this woulda , shoulda , coulda crap has got to stop. We have to face it, until we get the D straightened out and play consistent football we are an 8-8 team at best. I am not saying we cant win 5 or last six, or go 9-7 but all likely hood that seems a little far fetched. Dallas and NY are playing really good ball right now. and the Giants D is playing as good as anyone in the league right now. Dallas has one of the best D's in the league. The way we are playing right now we wouldn't beat either one of those teams, not to mention San Diego this week. Their Offense is one of the best. Lets put it this way : San Diego, NY, Dallas at home. Detroit , Arizona , St Louis on the road. All of these teams can put points on the board with the best. If our Defense was playing half way decent I would say, Yeah we can win 5 games. But I am not so sure right now. I hate to be the voice of reason, but if we dont win this week, we are all but mathmatically eliminated.

Please stop short of questioning my loyalty to the Redskins, I have heard all this crap too much this year. I love em, always have , always will. I just have been a skins fan too long to start looking for a silver lining. And by the way, the Raiders were suppose to be one of the easy wins that was going to help our record, boy that worked out didn't it. I hope we go on a serious win streak starting with San Diego, but you know Marty is going to have the Chargers ready and willing to run through a wall for him come this sunday.

I think it's time the playbook is opened with some halfback passes, end arounds, things like that. It's one of those times we can't afford to keep it tucked away.

At this point the Skins need to be only concerned about one thing, and that's winning the next game on the schedule. NY and Dallas very well could both lose this week, but what good is it gonna do if the Skins can't beat the Bolts? They need to start winning and everything else will take care of itself.

I concur, because the Skins STILL have both the Giants and Cowboys left on the schedule. They had a miracle beginning, why not have a miracle end?
