We did sign Farris today.

I thought we would sign Farris to add depth. But we put Parson back on the practice squad so that was essentially a lateral move. Thrash probably won't play this Sunday so we need to find another receiver-Steven Harris? Dyson? Brown?

Of course, I hate to say it but there is a former Eagle out there....that's right, Freddie Mitchell.

I say bring back Brown. Keep Moss of special teams and maybe give us a bit of a spark and good field position

I say we start Sean Taylor at 2#WR and watch him punish San Diego's CB's. We need to use what we have and of course I like Farris, but he's coming in cold. Hasn't played since preseason and could have possibly forgetton the play book. Troy Brown made a hell of a difference for New England last year and you saw the result. Let's see if someone hears my call, because besides Santana, there is no better player on the Redksins than Taylor.

Jacobs is officially a complete BUST. I'm totally done with him. Not that it matters.....he's due for another injury in a quarter or two.

Who is Taylor Jacobs again? Oh that guy who gets hurt all the time and apparently is a little bitch. He is dead to me after his ridiculous comments. Start anyone else and maybe Taylor can stay healthy enough to get some experience as the slot guy(not likely). His demeanor isn't one that we need starting.

I've been absent for a while but I found this other thread where folks here thought that Taylor Jacobs was a good reciever with good hands who ran good routes but he had suffered a bunch of freaky injuries and that's why he hadn't excelled just yet.

In this thread, he's a dumbass who can't get out of his own way.

Obviously, both threads cannot be correct.

Regarding Darnarian McCants, one of the reasons the Redskins soured on him last year was that he would not/could not contribute on special teams. Now he is in Philly and plays on - - special teams. Anyone else think that there might be another part of this story that hasn't been fully explained?

Check out the waiver wire, I'm pretty sure that Cliff Russell is available...

okay looking at his quote, I would think he needs to tell the coaches and adjust his route. maybe an 10 and stop or double move, everyone is fast in the NFL, get over it.

Further evidence to back my theory for Redskins' player management--"Get everything that ever had to do with Steve Spurrier out of here." That means you Betts, Ramsey, and Dockery. Everybody he ever drafted or brought in from free agency was a bust.

Jacobs, however, didn't take advantage of his first start in a two-wideout set. He caught just three passes for 17 yards as the Redskins lost to the Oakland Raiders 16-13 at FedEx Field.
"It was very disappointing," Jacobs said. "The corner would be real close to you at the line of scrimmage, and at the snap of the ball, most of the time, he would turn around and start running.
"One of their corners runs 4.2, and the other one runs 4.4. When they turn around and start running, what do you do?"

Now tell me this sounds like a guy whos gonna put up huge numbers for us while he is so loaded with confidence.

What a bitch! Learn how to play football. "They're faster than me...I can't get open." WTF?!

Everybody he ever drafted or brought in from free agency was a bust. Why would we get rid of Betts? He is a very good back up to Portis and could probably start for some teams. He runs hard and is a good contributor on special teams.
