The turnovers are killing the skins! They must be somewhere near -12 for the season, no one can seem to hold on to the ball. This comes down to a lack of fundamentals. I am getting tired of hearing Gibbs say "thats something we gotta work on" we cut our kick returner because he fumbled, guess no one got the message on that one. When you have a team with a bad D, and a team that plays close games, you cannot afford to turn the ball over. We gave the ball to the suck ass raiders 3 times yesterday and only lost by 3, can you imagine what our record would be if we didnt lose the ball 2-3 times every game?
I think after yesterday we're at -13.
We found a way to overcome that early in the year, but it's starting to catch up.

We will be looking back saying "what if...so and so didn't fumble, throw an int, etc". This season has been one big giveaway.

The bottom line is that turnovers have cost us at least two game and probably its more like three. Portis had a several last season but has done a better job up until yesterday. The NFL is too tough as it is and is twice as tough when we keep given teams a short field or when we turn over the ball in scoring range. The season is not over but we are making it very dificult.

It sucks, because really, the main problem this year is that our turnovers are killing us. We're going to have injuries each year and we're going to have obvious bad penality calls, but turnovers are avoidable. I honestly believe if we dont' turn the ball over anymore this year, we'll win out. If we turn the ball over more than three times each game, we won't win another game. In my opinion, the turnovers have that much effect on our team's season. I can't explain why we're turning the ball over that much, but I believe that has to be addressed before anything else.
