Barrow is 34 though. Mitchell is the cheapest and the least headache of all three, getting up there in age as well. JoeRedskin 04-21-2004, 01:53 PM I guess I think they are all about the same; maybe Barrow by a little. Barrow and Trotter just have better press and none of them seem more than an adequate starter PSUskinsfan11 04-21-2004, 02:07 PM Barrow the best right now, maybe another year or two. Trotter the best potential, rember he was still coming off of the knee injury last year and now has a good d-coordinator. Mitchell the best for the money, very solid player and not costly. skinsfanthru&thru 04-21-2004, 02:14 PM barrow, trotter, then mitchell. i agree mitchell is good talent for low pay but he's not fast enough especially for williams' defensive schemes. i hope we start, or atleast try to work in, clifton smith. SKINSnCANES 04-21-2004, 02:17 PM I think Trotter will still end up being a probowl linebacker again. Hes got most of the physical intangibles, but like everyone of the other Redskins has had different coachs that dont know how to use him. Plus he was injured. We have to get rid of his cap figure and might not fit well with us but I bet he succeeds for another team. offiss 04-21-2004, 02:18 PM barrow skinsfanthru&thru 04-21-2004, 02:28 PM I think Trotter will still end up being a probowl linebacker again. We have to get rid of his cap figure and might not fit well with us but I bet he succeeds for another team. i agree but for right now he's a bit of a defensive liability when it comes to reading and reacting to a non-running play and even against running plays he seemed caught off guard a few times last year. he will succeed next year if, unlike here, he's used properly. SKINSnCANES 04-21-2004, 02:30 PM by using him properely it means not dropping him into pass coverage. skinsfanthru&thru 04-21-2004, 02:33 PM by using him properely it means not dropping him into pass coverage. pretty much. he's practically a one dimensional player at a position that has to be multitalented. |
