i have been a skins fan for 20 years and am absolutely rapt with the way the skins have played this year(although Sunday gave me the s..ts) It has been a difficult few years as my best mate is a mad Eagles fan and he has been giving me a truckload of abuse over the years...Oh how the wheel has turned.

It has been difficult to catch up with the highlights because other than 3 live games a week and Sportscentre we get zero coverage here. Thanks to theWarpath you have kept me in the loop with all the goings on in the NFL and especially at the skins...

A couple of questions - How far can we go this year? Can we go all the way??

I think with a bit of luck we can. Here me out, nobody thought Greece would win the Euro 2004 soccer championships and they were rated 80-1 at the start of the tournament. If we can eliminate turnovers (and create some ourselves) we can certainly cause a few headaches to some teams. Bar the Giants game, which was an abberation, we have played hard in each game. A 5-4 record might not sound flash, but besides the 49ers & Eagles  , every team we have played has a winning record. Sounds like good form to me.

What is going on with Sean Taylors case? Is he likely to play this week?

HAve we evr thought about an Aussie punter? We have guys who can consistently kick the ball 60 METRES, which is equivalent to roughly 70 yards. Heck that last punt on Sunday, i could kick that on my left foot. Ben Graham seems to be doing ok at the Jets and he wouldnt be in the top 10 "punters" in the local football comp, the AFL.

I am genuinely excited about this year and would be devastated if we missed the playoffs this year. We are better than both Cowboys (what the f**k is the fascination with them), and the Giants, although we owe them big time..

Hello, welcome to the Warpath. It is good to see fans from all over the world. As to your questions, I really would love to think that we could make the super bowl, but I still think that we are missing just a few pieces yet. Namely a pass rushing DE or DL. I think that our secondary, when healthy, is one of the best in the league. And with LaVar back and Marcus Washington opposite of him I think that we have a very good LB core. I am realisticly thinking that we can get in to the playoffs this year. But next year I am really expecting big things, for sure next year, baring any kind of injury, we will have a very good chance at going to the big show.

I am not sure if Sean Taylor will be playing this week or not. I hope so cause one would think that the outcome of last weeks game would have ben different had Taylor ben on the field.

griffin and taylor may be out again... griffin's the only pressure we have and ST is the guy that can fix other people's mistakes in the secondary, so they leave big holes when they can't play ;)

I need for a SB run we'll need at least 1 and probably 2 puss rushing D Linemen, a real #2 receiver and another good corner for depth... OLine depth would be a good idea too.

not sure on the aussie punters, in theory it'd be a good idea, but there's gotta be a reason they're not prevelant (like track stars at WR and BBallers at TE, maybe the majority just lack the football skills...). a punt's distance is measured from scrimmage though, so a 40-47yd punt is something like 58-65yards total, whch would be 53-59.4 meters.

Welcome fevola!

Three questions.

What is a meter?

Is it difficult holding onto the earth in the upside-down position?

Do the Aussie punters kick it with 300 lb. lineman trying to take their apendages off, and break their face?

Welcome, It's great to see someone from Australia on the board.
At least now you have 3 games a week and sportscenter. When I lived down there for a year you guy's where just getting cable. The NFL only had one game a week on Sat at like midnight. And the Redskins where never on. Not once! This was also before the internet really took off. So basically I was screwed. I really love your country though. Some of the nicest pepole in the world. You have some best beaches I have ever seen. It was kind off the way I pictured California back in the 40's and 50's. Very innocent and unspoiled. I want to go back. I had one of the best years of my life in the land down under.

Cheers. :food-smil
