This guy is horrible. He couldn't tackle for crap against the Eagles and this week he gets beat by a 4th string wideout on a fly pattern. Then to top it off he jumps offsides on an extrapoint trying to make up for it. There has got to be some one better. Heck call Barry Wilburn out of retirement!

Next thing you'll be calling for is a return of Stanley "the Sheriff" Richard to fill in for the injured safeties.
That won't work either...

You know, after yesterdays game, I knew there would be a thread with this title lol. Seriously, though, he does miss tackles and he plays inconsistantly. Which is the problem with phillip daniels as well, and with a couple of other people on our team. I don't expect anyone to be perfect all the time, but when in one game you look decent, and in 2 or 3 you miss several tackles, blow coverage, make stupid penalties, etc... something has to be done.
It is suprising, however that we have a rag-tag d-line, and we can shut down runners (after fixing that right side somehow ;) ) but after addressing the secondary during the last couple of offseasons extensively, we have gaping holes in our passing defense occasionally. The middle of the field was wide open for the taking yesterday, and a terrible QB made us look stupid. That shouldn't happen.

guess meathead (ST) is fairly important then... and griffin as the only real DL threat.

Not only is he missing tackles and getting torched, but he and other DB's have a problem hitting the right angles going after ball carriers. They need to bench Harris and start anyone else that can cover "sometimes" and make tackles. Making a tackle is a lost art in the NFL. Just running into people with hopes of them falling is the norm. That is to be expected though....if a blade of grass touches a persons knee, he is down. "Back in the day", you had to wrap them up and keep them down. That does not seem to be taught these days.

I think springs is one of the best wrapup tackling corners in the league, and harris had some moments of greatness last year, but he seems to be slipping pretty quick.

Can, I was talking about tackling in the league as a whole. As far as Harris slipping, too late...he fell flat on his face.

Why was Pierson Prioleau even playing in the game? I know Taylor is hurt but what about Bowen, at least he hits hard, Prioleau looked like such as scrub. Harris should be benched in lue of Rogers, I know he is a rook but I would rather have a rook get torched and look bad (learning from his mistakes) then have Harris as a vet embarrass our organization week in and week out.
