Chris Simms -- played like a Hall of Famer

Apparently, you cannot grasp the point. I am not saying Chris Simms belongs in the Hall of Fame. I'm reacting to the outcome of this game, where he picked us apart, looked poised in the pocket -- and really, how could he not be with the way he was never threatened to be sacked -- and looked like a guy who had been in the NFL for ten years an seen everything. He played NOTHING like a 4th round pick who's been backing somebody else up for the last three years.

I don't know how I can get this across to you. I'm saying, "Man, that figures, Chris Simms sucks until he plays the Redskins, and tonight he plays like he's a friggin Hall of Famer."

I am not saying, "Man, did you see Chris Simms play? One day, his bust will appear in the Hall of Fame!!!"

Do you see the difference?

And Sunra, why is bitching about a loss make one a "fairweather fan" ??

Because when we win or lose, there are several people on this site who discuss the pros and cons without shitting on every single thing the Redskins did including vindicating the Refs by stating that they didn't affect the game in anyway. When the Redskins lose, threads from people I've never heard of all of a sudden begin to pontificate on the reasons we loss like that woman reporter from Washington Post. If your're here during the good and the bad times then I'm not talking about you. It's that simple.

Apparantly, you cannot grasp my point. I'm saying it's very stupid of you to act like the Redskins are a college football team after one close loss. I am also saying you are overreacting. I realize you are not saying "Man, did you see Chris Simms play? One day his bust will appear in the Hall of Fame.

Good, I'm glad you finally acknowledged this. But I never said anything about the Redskins looking like a college team.

I don't know how I can get this across to you. Let me try. You are overreacting.

In order for one to get a point across, one first has to make the point. That's the first time you've said I'm overreacting. If that's the way I appear, sorry. That's what a real fan does after a loss.

You say he played nothing like a fourth round pick who has been backing someone else up for the last two years. I'm saying, any given sunday, someone can come out against a good defense and look like he's been a pro all his life. It happens.

On this point, we agree. But I believe our defensive personnel, with their complete inability to generate a pass rush, contributed to his performance, making him look very effective.

I hate fans who always start the bitching machine up after a loss. A real fan would look at the mistakes, and move on to next week.

Well, gee. You hate fans that bitch, huh? Guess what? I hate rainy days. I hate static shock after stepping out of my car, I hate lots of things. But it happens, doesn't it?

we did make Simms look good today, lots of people seem to have their career days against us for some reason, defense let us down today, but hey, they kept us in games last yr ,we just need a pass rush, that is our biggest weakness right now,we put 1 good hit on simms early,we win this game, but if we make that 3rd and 2,we win, hated the play call ,Gibbs gets way too conservative at the end of games, defense knows he's going to call 3 straight running plays,I said in the chat room that if we hold tb from scoring on that next to the last drive, that when we get the ball gibbs will call for 3 straight running plays and thats just what he did, when New England would get a lead they didnt sit on it,they are still passing to run out the clock,I'd like to see more of that,my heart cant take much more of these games coming down to the wire every week

It all comes down to this simple fact. We don't turn the ball over, we win. We turn the ball over three times or more, we lose. Eliminate the turnovers and we win out.

I said the refs' calls were fair (even if they MIGHT have been wrong). I'm not sure if you're post was directed my way. But, I haven't said anything "negative" about the Redskins other than that they could not generate a pass rush from the front four.

By the way, fairweather fans don't hang around after a loss....hence the "fairweather."

I like the call on 3rd and 2 for the Portis Run, but Portis and O-line and responsible for not being able to make the yardage. That should've been made, and there was no reason for TB to get the ball back.

Chris Simms looks like Firemarshall Bill from In Living Color.
So sad we made him to look so good. Didn't Vandy make him look good too?
