I have to tell you David Patten should be cut and is not worth a dime the money he is getting!!! :spank: All year he has done very little. The one area this team is with out is someone to go along with Moss at wideout. In the game today he had a ball go off him for a INT. It was not Brunell's falt at all. On a 3rd down[I beleve] Patten went down field then stopped and turned around waitting for the pass. He was hit and ball was turned over. ALL NFL receivers know you are going to get hit if you stand there! He need to go towards the pass so the hit isn't so bad!!!! But he didn't do that!!!! At this point in Patten's NFL career this shouldn't have happen. Patten is not the 2nd WR that this teams need so badly! :Flush:

I wouldn't go so far as to cut Patten. But I've really been disappointed in him. I thought he would come here with a chip on his shoulder, determined to prove he could succeed outside of New England. And he'd give us a dependable receiver in clutch situations. But it's just not happening.

Can he return punts? Can we swap Patten and Thrash's roles?

Are you saying you want Thrash as #2? Cause that's a mistake. I'm not impressed by either of em, but I have more faith in Patten than I do in Thrash. I didn't see the pick, so I can't talk about that, but he made a decent play on a 3rd down (maybe 2nd) slant route. I just don't think either are a great fit.

Well, I think our #2 realistically is Cooley. So I'm guess I'm saying let's try Thrash as our #3. Patten has been hit or miss, more miss.

I agree with Cooley being #2, but I disagree with installing Thrash as the starter. I don't know though, niether have done much of anything on the year, so I don't know who would be the better option, so I will say again, I have more faith in Patten than Thrash

There's something very wrong with the Patten-Brunell connection because Patten is the only reciever that Brunell can't hit on a route without having Patten to stop and wait. I'm pretty displeased with Patten, the only passes he was getting were those screen passes. In the beginning of the year Thrash looked a lot better for a #2 reciever but he hasn't been doing much either....I don't care who it is, but we need someone to step up for #2.

We're talking about #3. Right now, I would rather have Thrash as our third receiver than Patten, based on the season so far.

Patten blows! When givent he opportunity to make a play, he constantly chokes. Where the hell is Taylor Jacobs?

Patten has been a disappointment so far. I agree with Tafkas in saying he should've had a chip on his shoulder to prove he could do it outside of New England. I don't know where we should go with him, but i wouldn't cut him.
