He's not going to get many more chances with the way he keeps dropping balls each game.

Drops aside, Patten isn't getting many looks. With Moss being a deep threat, and Cooley being underneath, Patten is basically a 3rd or 4th checkdown during any pass play.

It just seems to me that Brunell is content in throwing the ball to Moss. There have been several times this year where he's forced the ball in, rather than hitting an open Patten.

Is it because of the hands? Who knows? I do know that Thrash is no #2 receiver.

patten is warming the seat for Brandon Lloyd, who is a free agent next season.

I've been wondering the same things about Patten and Jacobs. I can understand Thrash not being a #2; he's more of a utility guy who blocks, plays special teams, and occasionally catches a pass. But Patten should be getting more receptions, and I would've expected a big play or two from Jacobs. I almost wish we had kept Jimmy Farris and cut Jacobs.

Patten's lack of production makes Taylor Jacobs absence even more worrisome...surely he would see this as an opportune time to crack the lineup or even get significant playing time.

I guess this is it for Taylor Jacobs with this team. Nine/ten games into the season and he's yet to contribute leads me to believe he's not the one.

But I think the combination of Cooley/Sellers...and even Portis more than compensates for Patten's lack of production.

Maybe by putting Jacobs in they'd be "fixing what ain't broke". I'm sure that Patten does things that don't show up on the highlights. Scoring points were NOT the problem yesterday.

Did u see B Lloyd's Alligator arms yesterday.... Also his rapping into the football after he scores is lame.. I hope we don't go for him

Brunell looks for Moss and then Cooley and then dumps it off to Sellers or Portis. I don't see a lot of plays being call for Patten as the first option. Patten is obviously not getting separation from his defender, otherwise he would get more balls thrown his way. I mean the Skins must study film and Patten must not be open much. I felt like he got more looks yesterday than his has in several games. I agree with Malcom however, points were not the problem yesterday. If you would have told me before the games started that the Skins would havce scored 35 points, I would not have worried about them losing,......... but they did.

Is he????? The same maybe!!!!

even if he is just as good as gardner, which i do not agree with i think hes better, he has 3 superbowl rings i believe, a ton of playoff experience, and he can help the team out that way with that experience and leadership.
