I'll tell you what. If Bowen tries to hit Portis like he hit Canidate. He wont have the same success. Portis will run him right over.

He will all so give G. Williams a lot of flexibility on what kind of schemes to design. He's gonna have to come up with some good stuff with our d-line. IF tayler is gone trade down and pick vince wilfork. Please don't draft Winslow. Redskins8588 04-21-2004, 12:04 AM Gmanc711 I hope your right and not run him over but give him the freak injury. As you can see I am not a real big Bowen fan, to me he falls in the same divison as Jeff George. Redskins8588 04-21-2004, 12:05 AM sorry about my typing tonight, I meant to say "not only run him over but...." Defensewins 04-21-2004, 11:37 AM Bowen and Ohalete are not very good. They are adequate at best. Plus the Free Safety position is a very important piece to a successful defense. All the recent Superbowl winners had at least one good safety. While I understan some of you folks that would like to have a fantasy league offense by adding Winslow... Repairing our defense and creating a balanced roster is more important. I don't want to be the KC Chiefs. Skins fan 44 04-21-2004, 12:04 PM Boy this is fun to see who we will pick at this early in a draft, but I would much rather have the last pick any day. JoeRedskin 04-21-2004, 01:02 PM Boy this is fun to see who we will pick at this early in a draft, but I would much rather have the last pick any day. No worries, this time next year we will have the last pick in EVERY round (except for the 5th we gave up for Thrash)!! :food-smil JoeRedskin 04-21-2004, 01:05 PM Hey JoeC, Earlier Defense said that Bowen wasn't a very good safety. Do you agree or disagree with that assertion? I am just curious. I guess I thought he was adequate and that he seemed to get some good press. What were your observations of him at Mini-Camp? Thanks Defensewins 04-21-2004, 06:23 PM Would you call Bowen or Ohelete a very good safety? No, I certainly would not. They are adequate at best. Sothat is why I say they are not very good. SKINSnCANES 04-22-2004, 12:27 AM Iffy keeps improving. Wasnt he an undrafted player? id say hes come a long way and is only getting better. He did come up with some big plays last year. Hes not elite, probably not even very good. But it wouldnt be the end of teh world if we had to use them again. THe extra depth at corner and better schemes should help. |
