Hey guys, I don't think anyone posted these links yet, but I just saw them and loved what I read. It's nice to know that while the Eagles are deactivating guys for being locker room cancers, we have players who can still keep in mind what this game is all about.

This is the type of attitude that wins championships. I'm so excited for the second half of this season.

Lavar is the man. We need his leadership in the locker room as well as on the field. He brings a lot of passion and leadership.....

I read where the coaches are really excited with the way he is preparing for each of the last couple of games with his practice habits and film study. I think when all the other guys see his work ethic it is contageous. Its great to see him forgetting about all the other stuff that was going on and continuing to improve himself. Its great to see him , Marcus, and Taylor on the field at the same time. I am also encouraged with the way the staff has been praising him and last week naming him a defensive captain. maybe this will bode well for next season and more to come. The atmosphere around the team and locker room really is great to see. You could start seeing that last year and its really coming out this year. How awesome is it to actually have a TEAM concept the last couple of years. I am not sure about the name he gave the defensive side of the ball. (THE U!) I think some Miami alumns might have a problem with it since they refer to their school as the U. Maybe we can come up with a name.....

I think Lavar had two problems in the beginning of the year . One he was still not sure about his knee and was depressed about not playing last year. The other he just thought that once he was healthy he could put on his helment and run out on the field as a starter. A couple of weeks ago this all came together. Lavar was excited about getting back one the field and realized that he had to show that he wanted to be out there in pratice and hard work. He is now forgetting about his knee problems and is realy getting pumped about playing and his first chances of realy making a push to the playoffs. Last week he was asked how it felt at midseason to be 5&3. He answered with a laugh saying it was his first time as a pro he has been 5&3 and it felt great.

I felt like I was at the game. I'm sitting there running around my house, pushing my brother out of the way and stuff like that, jumping up. I was calling out the audibles and everything."

I think this sums up the feeling of most NFL fans (especially redskins fans) during a good game.

Just wondering but is there still talk or do people still think that we are going to try to get rid of LA during the offseason? God I hope not!!!

I hope not too R8588. The thing is, he just loves being a Redskin. He's said in almost every interview that he loves the Redskins, that he loves the fans, and that he wants to be a Redskin for life. That is SO rare in today's NFL that I just think you can't let a guy like that go. Not to mention he's proving to everyone again that he's one of the best players on a great defense.

What would Tampa's dominant super bowl defense have been without Derrick Brooks? What would Baltimore's super bowl defense have been without Ray Lewis? What would the old Giants defense have been without LT? What would the Eagles defense in the early 90s have been without Reggie White? (Oh wait, that's right, and they still couldn't get a ring, LOL). I think the answer to all those questions is they still would have been really, really good defenses........but I don't think they would have been truly great. Here's to hoping that a healthy and focused Lavar will be what this defense needs to be considered one of the best ever and to get us our fourth ring.

I think he'll be back. I think the entire situation was one that the media really inflated and ran wild with.

It's great to see for a number of reasons:

1. We are simply a better team with Lavar out there.
2. He is a leader on the field, and his attitude is contagious.
3. It shows that Gibbs knows how to handle these things: stick to your principles, and things will work out.
4. Next year, we can focus on getting a DE, not another LB!
