It's great to see for a number of reasons:

1. We are simply a better team with Lavar out there.
2. He is a leader on the field, and his attitude is contagious.
3. It shows that Gibbs knows how to handle these things: stick to your principles, and things will work out.
4. Next year, we can focus on getting a DE, not another LB!

TRUE! For those of us that remember, Lavar sort of reminds me of Dexter Manley (on the field). Played like a monster. Got the D revvvved up so they literally swarmed the opposing QB. They did have the luxory of some possibly more noteworthy lineman.

I think the one thing Coach Gibbs should be remembered for is the ability to get a player to achieve more than that player thought he could.

He won three championships with less than stellar QB's.

He got an illiterate young man named Dexter to give this coach everything he had inside him.

He got a player who was angry at the team 10 months ago give a "It's not about me, it's about the team" speech that left some players unable to sleept that night.

Arrington is a great player, and Gibbs got him to remember that.
