As a biased Skins fan I'd say the best story of the year was the resurrection of Mark Brunell and the emergence of Santana Moss. Objectively, however, I think the biggest story is the self-destruction of T.O. and the havoc he's wrecked on the Iggles. It isn't a surprising story, nor is it unexpected, but like a big traffic accident on 95, it's something you just can't look away from.

None of those are really a surprise other than maybe the Vikings debacle, but Mike Tice has never been much of a disciplinarian, so it was only a matter of time before something like that happened. I think the biggest story so far is the sudden retirement of best touchdown machine of the last three years, Priest Holmes. That one is a shocker.

The Saints story has, I think, the deepest reprocussions around the league. Not only has their season essentially been scrubbed, but the first place team in our division is there in part because of a win that occured not in New Orleans, or a neutral site, but on their home turf.

While the Eagles have been crippled by the Owens situation, it isn't as though they were running away with the division when it happened.

The Vikings had a breakdown, but the "sex cruise" was a symptom of it, not the cause.

Unfortunately, TO the media whore is the biggest story so far.

The whole TO thing may change some of the attraction of dealing with Drew the tumor, or those like him. It's way past time!

I chose The Love Boat because it was a singular incident that ruined an entire franchise's credibility. People knew TO was an assclown, but who knew about the entire Vikings organization? A lot of people had them going to the Super Bowl.
