Objectively, however, I think the biggest story is the self-destruction of T.O. and the havoc he's wrecked on the Iggles. It isn't a surprising story, nor is it unexpected, but like a big traffic accident on 95, it's something you just can't look away from. Sammy Baugh Fan 11-10-2005, 08:51 AM Sad but true. TO Like watching a Train wreck even bad stuff draws attention. peace mike Southpaw 11-10-2005, 11:02 AM None of those are really a surprise other than maybe the Vikings debacle, but Mike Tice has never been much of a disciplinarian, so it was only a matter of time before something like that happened. I think the biggest story so far is the sudden retirement of best touchdown machine of the last three years, Priest Holmes. That one is a shocker. BrudLee 11-10-2005, 11:08 AM The Saints story has, I think, the deepest reprocussions around the league. Not only has their season essentially been scrubbed, but the first place team in our division is there in part because of a win that occured not in New Orleans, or a neutral site, but on their home turf. While the Eagles have been crippled by the Owens situation, it isn't as though they were running away with the division when it happened. The Vikings had a breakdown, but the "sex cruise" was a symptom of it, not the cause. 56FAN 11-10-2005, 11:13 AM Part has to do with the fact that it is very fresh to us.having just happend and still happening.the redskins story and the colts are pretty close mooby 11-10-2005, 11:17 AM nothing has been able to top T.O. and his big mouth. MTK 11-10-2005, 11:29 AM Unfortunately, TO the media whore is the biggest story so far. Hog1 11-10-2005, 11:47 AM The whole TO thing may change some of the attraction of dealing with Drew the tumor, or those like him. It's way past time! skindogger47 11-10-2005, 12:35 PM I chose The Love Boat because it was a singular incident that ruined an entire franchise's credibility. People knew TO was an assclown, but who knew about the entire Vikings organization? A lot of people had them going to the Super Bowl. |
