Look ahead to offseason

Ok...so the redskins have surpassed the expectations of many so far...and do not in my opinion have any one GLARING need looking ahead to the offseason.

We do however have needs and so the topic of this thread is to discuss what moves you believe the redskins should look to make next offseason, what positions they should look to get help in etc...

The way i see it we have three potential ways of picking up players:

Draft: (rounds 2-7 i believe)

Free agents

Trade (possibly of patrick ramsey if the team decides to go in that direction)

So what moves do you think the redskins ought to make...and using which one of these three methods?

Also do we have any guys in their contract year that we will have to concentrate on resigning this year?

I think we need a pass rushing specialist. If he gets double teamed, that opens up for guys like Wynn even more. I also think we need some better inside O Line guys

Personally, i believe the area we are lacking most in is depth. I really think we have made great strides this season and should have a fantastic base on which to build goin into the offseason.

The constant among teams that head to the playoffs year in and year out...is that they have guys waiting to step up...when a starter goes out with an injury. Now dont get me wrong...i believe that the coaches (primarily gregg williams) have done a fantastic job getting guys to step up...but i still dont think we are deep enough.

For example when you have 43 year old ray brown coming in to replace chris samuels you know there is a depth problem.

So here are the positions i would think about going after:

- Defensive end (possibly in a trade of patrick ramsey...although i really like him and wanted to see him succeed here, or else in the draft maybe 2nd round)

- Defensive Back: here i think it would be nice to just pick up an inexpensive solid free agent...not a star. Someone like R.W. Mcquarters who we had looked at this past offseason.

Oline help: in the draft i would like to see one olineman...and maybe a solid back up free agent added

D-line: I think we ought to maybe add a d-tackle through the draft (especially if we area able to get a real solid d-end in a trade)

Tight-end: this is just a luxury i thought would be real nice. Perhaps in the draft if we could get another weapon to compliment Cooley...it could be amazing to have two tight ends on the field. It would give oposing defenses fits in trying to figure out defensive schemes...and could open up alot of plays for us i feel...

Anyhow thats my two cents...let me know what you guys think.

depth yeah, but our #2 WR and 1-3 players on the Dline could really be improved. Griffin is beyond questioning, the others though are average and can't rush for jack.

anyways, DE, WR, DT, OL depth (2), CB depth (1), another solid LB (for depth, holdman sucks, no one else has proven anything), and a big blocking TE (rare) or a receiving TE that can actually block (which is even more rare).

I'm thinking the same thing.

The offseason is long enough, can't we just enjoy the actual season while it's still going? LOL

that wouldn't be like us now would it.

If the jets are crazy enough to give us abraham for patrick then trade errrr up but if that does work i propose a trade of The ade for dwight, you cna laugh but can't stop me from dreaming
