The Eagles are apparently not going after the bonus money. The party line is that they just want to be rid of Owens, but I suspect it's more that they don't want to look like cheapskates with potential future free agents.

I had heard the opposite this morning from Clayton on ESPN radio. According to him, the Eagles were going to wait a week before filing their demand for the return of the bonus.

Not doubting you - just was wondering where you heard it. Thanx.

I'm glad that Dan Snyder's check book will be closed due to the last two four seasons of spending vicariously for the big named players. If it were not fot Gibbs, TO would be eating at Morton's Steakhouse and calling a press conference in March 2006. Thank God for Joe Gibbs.

On P.T.I today Kornheiser said T.O should come to the Skins! That way he could stick it the the Eagles twice a year. :vomit-smi

I read that article on my way back from D.C. Tony just wants to stir up the pot because he knows to throw that notion out there it will spark more interest from the Giants and Cowboys to pick him up. They can have him.

TO is a disgrace to the NFL. and while there's no doubt as an athlete he's tremendously talented as well as productive on the football field, there's not IMO a place in sports for people who conduct themselves the way he does. While I've never been convinced of the fact that pro athletes should be looked upon as role models "per-say" his conduct is not only detremental to the team, but to the NFL as well. There's no way he should be allowed to play another down until he gets the help he needs. How many teams does he have to blow-up before it's realized that his behavior continues to overshadow his talents in a negative way?

Yeah, I saw his comments after TO's and I was DISGUSTED. His voice alone makes me want to kick him in the throat.

Sal Paolantonio said as much in reporting the Eagles FO reaction to the press conference.

That doesn't necessarily make it so, but apparently that's their current stance.

I thought T.O. sounded sincere - I think they should let him play.

Yeah, right - what a f*&king joke! The Eagles would look like bigger panzies than the cast of "Queer Eye" (not that there's anything wrong with that...). They have made a great decision to bench the f*cktard and if they go back on it at all, they will lose all respect. Stick to your guns Eagles!
