That might be a good poll, who is going to pick up TO?
Owens done for season...TheMalcolmConnection 11-07-2005, 03:24 PM That might be a good poll, who is going to pick up TO? SmootSmack 11-07-2005, 03:26 PM This is the same guy who bitched and moaned about playing for the Ravens and insisted that he wanted to play with McNabb. TO is just odd. I remember a couple of years ago when people were saying who's better, TO or Randy Moss? And a common response was "TO maybe a pain but he always gives 100% on the field, you can count on him come game day" Well not anymore, now we're seeing that Moss is the better receiver.....Santana Moss! Giggidity! JoeRedskin 11-07-2005, 03:29 PM I posted this on another thread - but I thought it really gives you some insight into how many players view Owens: From a Philly paper on why the players haven't taken the TO thing into their own hands: During the show, Gargano asked Douglas about criticism being levied on leaders of the team for not confronting Owens as a group. "Most of the leaders on the team felt that T.O.'s a grown man and he needed to handle himself accordingly," Douglas said. "But it was a situation where we didn't know how crazy this man was, you know what I mean? We just didn't know how many issues this man had and it just got out of hand. I think everybody was sitting around like, 'Wow, I didn't know this man was this crazy.' " http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/sports/13101723.htm You can't spell TOOL without T.O. #56fanatic 11-07-2005, 03:30 PM I can probably think of a couple of teams that would take a chance. 1 - Oakland Raiders 2 - Dallas Cowboys 3 - Washington Redskins (you know Danny, hopefully Joe will say NO!!) somebody will take him, but like Mort said last night, it will be for minimul money and only a two year max deal. He has basically screwed up any shot of getting more money. He must have forgotten that he and super agent Rosenhouse(is that spelled right?) worked out this deal. He wanted the first couple of years to be heavy then fall off towards the end. He is basically one of the top 5 paid receivers in the NFL, but I guess that is just not good enough. He will be lucky to get 1 to 2 million a year now. Nobody is going to invest the money Philly did and basically have nothing to show for it. Other than a headache and a constant ringing in their ears. Warpath 11-07-2005, 03:31 PM Even though I have a strong dislike for the Eagles, its good to see them step up and dump the trash that is T.O. Wonder where he ends up? I will rule out the NFC east for sure cuz none of the coaches here would allow the cancer on their team. Maybe Packers? Bengals? Bears? Browns? I really have no clue..... TheMalcolmConnection 11-07-2005, 03:31 PM TO will be a hired gun the rest of his career. Until he can show he can be a teammate as well as a playmaker, no one will sign him for a long-term deal. BigSKINBauer 11-07-2005, 03:34 PM i heard somone say on espn that the raiders won't do it because they have 3 WRs under big contract and the redskins have already said no. The Broncos are a possiblity as shanahan isn't scared of a challenge. I still think the Falcons might be interested. Think about if he ends up in dallas, keyshawn(who went through a similar character situation with TB) and TO on the same team. Hog1 11-07-2005, 03:37 PM It is not very often an Elite, incredibly talented athelete can so alienate the mainstream sports fan the way TO has. It is rarer still that he he gets bitch slapped and recieves justice by the perverted system motivated purely by money and profit that built him. Today is that day! ENJOY IT!!!!!!! I dont think Parcells would put up with T.O. but then again I don't know Parcells personally. Hog1 11-07-2005, 03:41 PM TO will be a hired gun the rest of his career. The big money he sought, and no doubt would have recieved had he maintained in Philly, is now out of his reach. 32 years old, injury prone, problem child. See ya later Rodman..............hmmmmm, I wonder how TO looks in a wedding dress??? Maybe he'll make a run at Carman Elektra |
