When I was watching that so called game on Sunday I didn't notice how many time Arrington actually made it into the game. Does anyone know if they're going to swallow their pride and increase his playing time or are they going to continue to just put him in sparingly? After the 49ers (I know they suck) game I was extremely excited and thought that he would get increased playing time, I guess I was wrong. Anyone know anything more about the situation?

First off, welcome to the board.

I think I remembered reading that he was in for all of the 3-4 formations (18 plays I believe). If memory serves, I think he was in for around 35 (out of 78) plays total.

I definitely think that he will play in 50+% of the plays this week, and his role will only expand in coming weeks.

Arrington Lauded


Gibbs again praised the play of linebacker LaVar Arrington, who was with the starting unit for a good portion of the second half Sunday and may have regained his starting position ahead of Warrick Holdman. "His heart's in it, he's going after it," Gibbs said of Arrington. "We'll see where it leads." . . .

After Holdman got blown up in the running game and was benched against the Giants, I think it's looking very likely that Arrington will finally regain his starting job this week.

Let's hope so! Lavar needs more time on the field to get things togther. This could be a big game for him & us. :httr:

I know it had to be an ugly week in practice for the defense.... Williams had 2 be pissed.

I have a feeling Arrington will start at home Sunday night!!!

From what I heard on Sirius there is a "very good" chance that LaVar Arrington will replace Holdman as the starter on Sunday.
