Even with a 10-6 record, we COULD miss the playoffs?

10-6 is no guarantee, but I'll bet that one 10-6 team does get in.

Tampa Bay isn't going to maintain their pace, so two teams from the South go. That leaves two teams from the East. The East is shaping up like a classic race, where we pound each other, and there are three 10-6 teams at the end. One's a champ, one gets a wild card, and the fickle finger of fate leaves one in the cold.

I think Tampa Bay is truly the pretender of this year.

I hope they can pretend for one more week. I just picked them as the upset in my football pool this week. :embarrass

Yeah, I HOPE it's only one more week, because we know who is after Philly.

Since I believe it is inter-divisional record that determines tie-breakers, we are gonna have to do alot better against our NFC East rivals than we have the last, I don't know, million years. I can't remember the last time we had even a respectable record within the division.

So that makes Sunday night's game even that much more important. Man, I'm nervous...

I've heard that three teams from the NFC East could easily make it. The great thing about the Redskins is we have won both conference games against the Bears and Seahawks and certainly could win the next three against the Bucs, Rams and Cardinals. We will muster up all of our strength for Dallas, New York and Philly at the end of the season. 2 out of 3 are at home so we certainly have the edge should it come down to those games at the end of the regular season.

if we are serious about playoffs

49ers are NFC too... 4-1 NFC, 0-2 AFC west

I was reading about this today and saw that a non-divisional 10-6 might not be enough for some people to make the playoffs.

That's INSANE after you could be at 8-8 last year and still make it.

I'm nervous, so I guess we'll have to remedy that by winning the divison.

You will be 9-5 going into three tough divisional games. And you have two of those tough games at home. I think Wash gets in. YOu have a softer schedule in the second half.

Why so woried?!
