I agree with most, but while this does appear to be classic Gibbs, don't forget that Williams has pretty much complete control of the defense. I see this as being more the partnership of Gibbs and Williams agreeing on how to handle Lavar, and then actually following through with it (which some coaches would not have the nerve or reputation to be able to do).
Piss him off, make him yearn to play, and make him show that he can play their way....then unleash him on the opponents and let him take his frustrations out on them!!! Sounds good to me!
During Gibbs 1.0 Richie Pettibone had total control of the D as well.
