Arrington is not listed as a starting OLB so you can't vote for him. Wasn't there a stipulation that L.A. had to make 2 pro-bowl to get his bonus or to become a free-agent? If he continues to perform the way he did on Sunday then I guess sky's the limit. I too think the other players took notice of how the coaches dealt with the situation, and true enough it had the flavor of vintage Gibbs. SkinsRock 10-26-2005, 06:41 PM I agree with most, but while this does appear to be classic Gibbs, don't forget that Williams has pretty much complete control of the defense. I see this as being more the partnership of Gibbs and Williams agreeing on how to handle Lavar, and then actually following through with it (which some coaches would not have the nerve or reputation to be able to do). Piss him off, make him yearn to play, and make him show that he can play their way....then unleash him on the opponents and let him take his frustrations out on them!!! He may be mad at the FO/staff, but publicly he's saying the right things, and he does like the fans and the town. From what I understand, his cap hit next year is about the same whether he's here or not. I'd rather pay for a quality player to play, rather than to leave. Plus, if this year continues like it is, and we go to the playoffs or at least make a solid run with a winning record, and he plays a part in it, I'd have a hard time seeing him wanting to leave, even after all this crap. If the season ends on a good note, this situation will seem like forever ago. Basically, it's up to the Redskins, not Lavar.
