Looking at Statistics

Everyone has seen that the Redskins offense has been very impressive and the defense has been solid in controlling the opposing offense. Looking at the stats for this week the Redskins offense is 2nd in the NFL and only 4 yards behind Seattle and almost 10 yards ahead ofNew England in 3rd. The defense is ranked 4th and finally should be able to force some turnovers with LaVar back on the field. This makes the Redskins the only team in the NFL with top 5 rankings on both sides of the ball. In terms of individual performance Mark Brunell is the highest rated passer in the NFC with a 98.3 rating. Santana Moss is on pace to break the NFL record for yards receiving in a single season. These are the type of stats that only playoff teams can produce. The offense of this year brings back memories of 1999 when Brad Johnson led the Redskins to the playoffs. This doesn't guarantee anything but the eay things are shaping up now it will be a exciting season with a lot of big numbers being turned in by the offense and defense by the end of the season.

Hail to the Redskins!

P.S. - I am a huge fan of stats and numbers and if anyone has any random stats they know of I'd like to know. Thanks!

we are 2nd on offense after playing 3 of the top 10 defenses
we are 4th in defense after playing 3 of the top 10 offenses

we are the only team ranked top 5 in both and again for the third(i think) straight week average the top combination of offense/defense.

4 Teams are top 10 in both offense and defense
Cowdorks(4-3)
Seahags(5-2)
REDSKINS(4-2)
Colts(7-0)

All are above .500 and combine for a nice record of 20-7
