Well, those goes the Lavar threads ...

Anybody got any new "The Ade" jokes?

I don't think we'll have to worry about making any. We have ALL THREE starting corners back!!! :biggthump

On monday, after LaVar goes nuts on the field we'll get to go after all the people who said he sucked, and get rid of him. I can not wait!!
If LaVar comes out and tears it up this Sunday, like he's been capable of in the past, who's to say that he could have done it in previous weeks?

My stance, along with many others, is that I trust Williams and Co to put the best player out on the field. I don't know how any *fan* can question this coaching staff. I am a fan of LaVar (have a jersey and license plates that say "LaVar"), but that fandom does not trump my loyalty to the team, and the coaches, that are returning this team to greatness.

I think the title of this thread should be more like "Good News Redskins Fans!"

Maybe this was a "scheme" the whole time by the coaching staff. He was not 100%, regardless of what we may have heard??? Maybe the knee couldn't have held up over a 14 week span??? Maybe he still won't play??? Who the hell knows, hopefully he gets in there and rips somebody's head off and creates a turnover!

I think he will see quite a bit of playing time this week, he also made mention and the discussion that Holdman has not been comfortable with his play or something to the effect that he knew Holdman has not been playing well the past few weeks, but solid. I can't remeber the quote, but the talk about Holdman mediocre play and the talk of Lavar and his good feeling about playing is promising.

LA better get the job done or else it will look like GW was correct in holding him out. This is LAs chance to right the ship and get his career back on track and in the big picture, a good remainder of the season would make it easier for the skins to trade LA and actually get something of value for him.

Do you think they'll trade him if he comes in and plays like we all hope and expect him to?

If he comes in and plays at a high level, and more importantly plays within the system to Williams' satisfaction, I think he'll remain a Redskin.

At this point it's all up to LaVar.

I wonder how much of LaVar's (apparent) increased playing time is actually because of the relative strength of our opponent? Would the coaching staff take a gamble on LaVar playing within the system if we were playing Philly, or do the Niners give us a little "room for error"?

I'm thinking it'll be a gradual phase-in. I'd think if it were NY or Philly they would maybe give him a few select snaps and wait for someone like SF to give him some real playing time.
