I still say a deal will get done. I also think it will come after the blood bath tonight. After a bunch of veterans hit the market with nowhere to sign they will start putting presure on the NFLPA to get a deal done. And then the players we want we can resign and the players we dont, we wont

hopeful thinking, that's not a bet i'd make though. once players are cut the cap hit is taken and resigning them would be a second hit (and even at vet min, we couldn't get them all back because of that).

*** INTENTIONAL POT STIRRING ALERT ***
I don't see Ramsey restructuring his contract like Brunell did.. Where's his committment to the greater good of the team?!?

His commitment is to roids, not the team.

Profootballtalk.com is reporting that John Abraham has been traded to the Broncos for a first round pick.
Why the hell would they do that? Give away a 1st rounder for a turd who sat on the bench because he didn't want to injure himself before becoming a free agent? They had a high-priced, elite DE in Trevor Pryce. Plus, Pryce was a team leader. Finally, they're going to have more trouble negotiating a deal with Abraham than with a 1st rounder.
Bone-head move if you ask me. But, then again, maybe profootballtalk.com is full of it ... again.

i agree it'd be stupid. calling pryce and elite (pass rushing) DE is a stretch though. JA is a big upgrade in sack count, but he's a whiny b*Tch. pryce was good, but not for 8$mill+ he would be paid this season.

Would this be OUR first round pick that we sent them for Campbell?

Supposedly it's the Broncos pick (not ours). But, no other news outlet is reporting the deal. Perhaps PFT isn't as credible as I thought.
