I just hope we can break this streak of close games against San Fran. I don't want to end the season again with, "Well, we played great the whole season, but a couple plays just didn't go our way." I'd prefer to make the playoffs rather than dominate statistically.

If we lose to SF THEN I may be freaking.
lol
We are a good solid team. Our offense is starting to get going and our defense is weathering some injuries. I think two things are a matter of time till they right themselves: Our red zone scoring will go up (rushing) and we will switch the turn over ratio around. It might not even be this year when they get totally fixed...but I think we have a real shot at winning ten games they way we are playing right now.
It is so nice to have a profeesional, solid, real football team; not the last bastion of mediocrity embodied by Norval.

I may be wrong but there was a couple of time daniels was out on a passing down and someone with 5 something was in his place. but i never saw if it was 56 or 57 or what. the mark of a good to great team is one that does not beat themselves. we have what it takes but until we get a handle on the turnover's and penalties we will continue to struggle.also we have to overcome twice as much to win the game as the other team does.i love these skins. i just wish they would get out of their own way long enough to see what they could become. here's to patience.

I agree SBF. A loss to San Fran AT FedEx... now that may be reason to freak.
Hell, why not give ANOTHER rookie a chance to have a breakout game? How does that sound Alex Smith?
I want to see our defense eat him for lunch. Hopefully Springs will be back in full force and we'll have a turnover feast like we did agains them last year.

Why do you care what they do?
Well, as someone who knows how difficult it is to maintain an online community, you don't want to see someone go through what they're going through.
They've reached the top of the mountain with their affiliation with the team, but along with that it's brought a serious influx of idiots.
Plus it's a place I've enjoyed going to in the past. And I know they have some good guys running the show over there.
There are plenty of reasons why I care about what they do.
Thank you for expressing this, Matty. I've gotten a little flack in the past for what I'd like to call "good natured" ribbing at Extremeskins's expense. There isn't a whole lot of competition between us or any of the Redskins fansites, though. It reminds me of a joke (credit to Emo Phillips):
Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"
He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"
Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.
We all have a lot more in common than we have dividing us. I'm not about to push another Skins fan off the cliff because he celebrates at a different site than me.

Not only am I not freaking out, I'm excited!
The last 2 losses were tough but check out the stats:
.......................Was.................Den
1st Downs...........28..................11
3rd Down Eff........40%................29%
Rush Yards..........125.................165
Pass Yards..........322.................92
Total Yards.........447.................257
Turnovers.............1....................0
.......................Was.................KC
1st Downs...........26..................18
3rd Down Eff........42%...............33%
Rush Yards..........101.................96
Pass Yards..........297.................178
Total Yards.........398.................274
Turnovers.............3....................0
KC and Denver are both solid teams, and have the biggest home field advantage in the league, and we still dominated them in almost every statistical category. I didn't include time of possession but we've been kicking ass there too. Of course the final stat - turnovers - is usually the most important, and that's where we've been hurting. But besides the turnovers I'm very happy with what I've seen.

But I also agree with SBF - if we lose to SF then I'll be freaking out!

Exactly CrazyCanuck!!! We got beat by two of the premier teams in the AFC, BARELY!!! Only reason we lost was cause of turnovers and penalties. I have been damn impressed with what this team has done so far. The only thing that I do worry about is the running game with Portis. Sure I love the guy, but is he really the right back for this team? Maybe we are still not using him right, I don't know. But as of right now the NFC East is still wideopen and the only division in football with all teams above .500
