I'd be happier being 5-1 and not underneath the cowboys.
So long as we don't finish under them, I'm fine.

Will you be happy if we go 4-2 in the first 6 games?saskin 10-16-2005, 08:57 PM I'd be happier being 5-1 and not underneath the cowboys. Paintrain 10-17-2005, 12:38 AM I've been saying since the schedule came out if we can be 4-2 going into 2 divisional games we'll be ok. I'm thinking that we should split with NYG and Philly, beat the Rams and Raiders. That's 8 wins right there.. 2 games somewhere between Arizona, SD and TB or the other 3 divisional games that's 10 wins which should get us into the playoffs.. And I am happy to have a chance to be 4-2. Shows you how crucial Dallas and Seattle were. drew54 10-17-2005, 01:52 AM I agree anything less than 10-6 will be a disapointment. And we must split with Philly and NY. Hopefully we beat the Cowboys again. The last three games could all be for a spot in the playoffs. It is definately time to go see a doctor about these chest pains from the first five games, because the next eleven will all be just as close. skinsfanthru&thru 10-17-2005, 03:24 AM I know I'd be extremely happy starting 4-2 especially with the knowledge that the 2 losses were caused by self created mistakes. The offense is playing a hell of a lot better than I thought they would be at this point. The biggest concern is the team MUST stop with the fumbles and when the defense has the oppurtunity, they must come away with the turnover and sacks especially when u have a qb not really known for his elusiveness escape the grip of 5 players. Another area that needs shoring up is the run play calls. Portis is just not cutting it when going up the middle and those wind up just being wasted plays. And I still don't think we've really seen the team, other than the Brunnel to Moss connections, click at it's full potential. TheMalcolmConnection 10-17-2005, 07:03 AM I agree. When Portis gets outside, it seems like it's ALWAYS at least 4-6 yards a pop... scowan 10-17-2005, 12:35 PM Everyone else in the NFC East has a harder game than the Skins this coming week. As tight as the division is, the Skins could go from last place to first place again in one week. The Skins should not over look the 49ers and I don't think they will, but it could be a good week to get on a roll and maybe heal some guys, like Portis, if they can get it going. Coming of two straight losses, they better not overlook ANYONE. BDBohnzie 10-17-2005, 12:48 PM 4-2 would be awesome, consider the Skins were 2-4 in '04, 3-3 in '03, 2-4 in '02, 1-5 in '01. 2000, the Skins were 4-2 to start the year. the 49ers are terrible, but the Skins will be prepared. Last year's Cleveland team was more talented than the current 49ers team. They squeeked out a win against a St Louis team that overlooked them, and haven't done anything since. Alex Smith takes over the reins, and even with the bye week, won't be enough to turn the tides. |
