EXoffender 10-16-2005, 08:16 PM With LA in the lineup we'd probably would have given up more 30+ yard TD runs. So what are you guys saying? I thought Marcus Washington was shook up on one play and was anxious to see if Coach Williams was going to sub LA. The LBs 'starting' right now haven't missed much, if any time.
railcon56 10-16-2005, 08:31 PM man right know im starting to hate gregg williams because he hasnt even gaven lavar a shot.Man im sorry to say i love the redskins but damn our 3 linebackers suck at pass rushing the qb its like not even having the 3,rushing the qb.What im saying is that dam gregg williams give lavar a shot and if hes not the same the first game give him fucking time damn hes not gonna 2 be bac to normal the 1rst game it takes time.On top of the linebackers rushing the qb why cant we stop that one BIG running play that always kills us the past 2 games.Gregg Williams i give u respect because of what u did to our defense but stop being the one guy who wants to prove to peaple u dont need lavar and just put him in there dam!!!!!!!!!
Thankyou for saying that now i can speak how i really feel its childish and vindictive... yeah i am starting to hate the man..mark my words if we lose lavar i want him to go to philly dallas or the giants and watch him eat us alive
railcon56 10-16-2005, 08:32 PM This whole think with LA is really sickening. The defense is struggling right now and there's no way you can argue that he wouldn't help the team if he were allowed to play. We aren't getting to the QB and we aren't causing fumbles. And the coaches want us to believe that LA can't contribute positively to either problem?
I really am beginning to think this whole thing has become somewhat of an ego struggle between LA and the defensive coaches. Shame on them both, but more shame on the coaches because they're supposed to be making decisions in the team's best interests and, in this case, I definitely do not believe that they are.
It's a disgrace to see LA sitting on the bench at every game. And I'm tired of hearing the lame excuses that we get each week. Do they really think the fans are so ignorant as to believe the **** that they are feeding us as to why he isn't playing?
well said!!!!!

Let's not act like Arrington is an innocent bystander here, I think both sides share the blame in this, check out the Arrington article (http://www.thewarpath.net/showthread.php?t=8534) in the WP today, it really sums things up nicely and makes valid points for both sides involved.
offiss 10-16-2005, 08:44 PM Lavar on the bench is really know surprise, he was the most overated player in football, except now everyone knows it.
Lavar doesn't know why he's not playing? Just like he doesn't know how to follow direction when he's on the field.
I find it laughable that everyone will follow Gibbs blindly regardless of how irrational some of his decisions may look, yet question over and over again why Lavar isn't on the field, he's an overhyped media darling who's football instinkts are horrible, he's not a LB who can overpower a TE or OL on a pass rush ala LT, so how much difference will he really make? The LB's we have now can get to the QB if their given a clean shot at the QB.
Bottom line take a look at the track record's of the people who all concur on Lavar, William's, Lewis, and Paterno, they all have said the same thing's about Lavar, and I am sure they were being kind in their assesments for public consumption.
Arrington's "instinkts" are about as bad as your spelling, LOL

They may have that opinion but he started every game for all those coaches didnt he
Pure athleticism will get you by in college and most of the time in the pros. It's not enough to get by with Williams obviously.

I agree, until Lavar can show that he can shut his mouth and follow the instructions of the coaches, then he'll play again.
