I don't see what's so horrible about the article, guys. I think she's pretty dead-on with her analysis. This was a game that, in many ways, summarized what the Redskins have been all about this season. I think Jenkins capsulated those characteristics pretty well. If you read the entire article-- and not just the headline and first couple paragraphs-- Jenkins actually outlines some very valid reasons for hope.
Of course there are going to be negative points as well-- this was a loss, after all-- but overall, it was a fairly balanced and objective article. Jenkins has written some scathing pieces in the past ( and even those pieces had some valid points, by the way), but this article is certainly not the kind of anti-Redskins diatribe some would make it out to be simply because Jenkins wrote it.
I think it's odd that people who are ostensibly very passionate about the Redskins are so quick to ostracize those who vocalize the negative sentiments they themselves undoubtedly feel when things aren't going well for the team. I find it hard to believe that people who feel passionately about the Redskins don't ask themselves some of the same questions Jenkins and others pose about this team. As frustrating and tension-filled as the games have been this season, I'd imagine most of the folks in Redskins nation have found themselves wondering aloud just what in the heck the Redskins are doing sometimes-- in fact, I've seen those very sentiments expressed on this forum and others. So why are we so hyper-sensitive and hypocritical that we have to attack the integrity and even the physical appearance of someone who poses these same questions?
