kingerock 10-09-2005, 10:58 PM I like our upcoming schedule through week 8 (halfway point)
@ Kansas City - Big offense but still a suspect defense that gives up alot of points through the air. We are putting up big numbers in the passing game and should be able to turn that into points against KC. Our defense should matchup well against the KC offense too.
San Fransisco - I'll go out on a limb and say we'll win and score alot in this game.
@ New York (Giants) - Our front 7 should matchup well against their running game and pass protection. Our efficient passing game should keep the chains moving and Eli off the field.
I think we have a very good chance to go 6-1 through week 8 and if we could it would set us up for a tough 4 game stint with the Bucs, Eagles and Chargers with Oakland in the middle of there. Then it's the Rams and Cards (should win both) before the last 3 games of the season against divison rivals.

Gmanc711 10-09-2005, 11:05 PM KC - I think next week is a tough game, I really do. However, I think if Kansas City plays poor defense like they have the past couple weeks, we should win this game. As long as our defense can hold them to 20 pts or under, I like our chances in that game.
SF- If we dont win this game at home....we really, really dont deserve to be in the playoffs or even talking about it. They stink!
NYG- @ NY. This game is really, really big. I think we need to at least split with every team in our division this year. I think we need a healthy secondary in this game, or its gonna be trouble. I think we can stop Tiki, because I like how our defensive scheme matches up with their offensive line. This is going to be a tough, but really fun game.
Philly- Its Philly... GET IT UP!
I think through Philadelphia, we have to be at worst 5-3. I think we can be 6-2 though this stretch though. I think next week is one of the most important.
BigSKINBauer 10-09-2005, 11:08 PM I POSTED THIS SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT IT FITS BETTER HERE
i know this is a loss but our TEAM played AMAZING! Our defense did very well and the broncos threw for less than 100 yards!! less than 100!! wait we threw for over 300 yards and picked up nearly 450 total yards on the NUMBER SIX defense in the league. i don't understand why there isn't any positive threads. If you told me during the offseason that we would have this type of offensive production against a top 10 D that was ranked right behind ours i would be thrilled. Also if i was told that we were gonna go 3-1 and lead our division at this time i would also be thrilled.
NO doubt no f'n doubt in my mind that we can take KC. This game was huge for us, we can play offense. That is right bitches we can play offense. The REDSKINS can play offense with the best of them and still AND STILL have a top ten defense that can hold teams under 300 yards. We go to KC and kick ass, we come home and kick ass and then we face a big game against the gints and we beat them there too. I see us winning atleast two of the next four and moving to a respectable 5-3 and if we win 3 we are 6-2 and tops in our division STILL as long as one of those games is the GINTS.
WE are reborn, we aren't your joe gibbs first year redskins, we are the new redskins, the 2005 playoff redskins

I've been saying since the schedule came out, if we get to the mid-season point at 5-3 we are in great shape for a playoff run.. We played our worst game of the year BY FAR and were within a tipped pass of going to overtime with momentum at one of the 3 toughest places to play. I'll take that if victory couldn't be secured.
One game at a time.
KC will be a big game.
EternalEnigma21 10-10-2005, 12:17 AM I'm not as worried about KC as I was about Denver. KC is struggling, and not putting up the numbers they used to offensively. They're probably going to be the worst D we've played thus far. Bears, Dallas, Sehawks, and Denver all have decent defenses. The chiefs have an improved D, but not a good one. I know it sounds cliche', but its going to come down to who can establish a runing game. They have one of the best one two punches in the league, but they'll play alot like denver. They have a very mobile and physical O line, they just run a different scheme.
Its gonna be a good game, but very winnable.
footballfan 10-10-2005, 01:56 PM I got kC winning by 2 Holmes will have a decent game if the penalties continue
jbcjr14 10-10-2005, 02:03 PM Playing in KC is very tough and not too many come away from there with a win. Maybe it will rain again and that will quiet the crowd as it did this past week in Denver. Need to find away to win this one...NO turnovers and minimize the penalties and we can walk away from Arrowhead with a W....BUT even a loss here isn't the worst thing that can happen. Remember, these are non conference games and if you are going to lose em, these definately are the ones to lose!

I would do cartwheels to win 2 of these next 3 games. At KC is one of the toughest assignments in football. And at NY is no walk in the park either. I would kill to be 5-2 after these games. I think becasue we were close in Denver that people are underestimating how hard this KC game is. I jsut hope the team is not doing the same thing....If the skins don't play great KC will blow them out.
