Wow Those Linebackers played so well TodayDaseal 10-09-2005, 09:51 PM Let's not forget how nasty the field was, it makes tackling a little hard. BigSKINBauer 10-09-2005, 10:03 PM i know this is a loss but our TEAM played AMAZING! Our defense did very well and the broncos threw for less than 100 yards!! less than 100!! wait we threw for over 300 yards and picked up nearly 450 total yards on the NUMBER SIX defense in the league. i don't understand why there isn't any positive threads. If you told me during the offseason that we would have this type of offensive production against a top 10 D that was ranked right behind ours i would be thrilled. Also if i was told that we were gonna go 3-1 and lead our division at this time i would also be thrilled. NO doubt no f'n doubt in my mind that we can take KC. This game was huge for us, we can play offense. That is right bitches we can play offense. The REDSKINS can play offense with the best of them and still AND STILL have a top ten defense that can hold teams under 300 yards. We go to KC and kick ass, we come home and kick ass and then we face a big game against the gints and we beat them there too. I see us winning atleast two of the next four and moving to a respectable 5-3 and if we win 3 we are 6-2 and tops in our division STILL as long as one of those games is the GINTS. WE are reborn, we aren't your joe gibbs first year redskins, we are the new redskins, the 2005 playoff redskins mooby 10-09-2005, 10:03 PM if both springs and harris are out for next weeks game, we definitely need to sign a replacement. kansas city has a great passing attack, one that would embarress ade jimoh to the point where he won't show his face in d.c. again. there is no way in hell that i'd be comfortable with ade jimoh starting next week. MTK 10-09-2005, 10:04 PM Green has actually been stuggling, the KC passing attack doesn't scare me much this year. SUNRA 10-09-2005, 10:20 PM i know this is a loss but our TEAM played AMAZING! No need to blame anyone. They will have a lot of film to look at make the neccessary adjustments for the future. This was a nasty game with weather conditions not favoring us. But it definitely showed me that Brunell is for real and has the ability to lead this team far into the playoff picture. Don't count on Moss dropping any easy passes next week. PFunk26 10-09-2005, 11:28 PM this thread sounds like the cowboys fans after we beat em come on guys pull it together we played good enoughj to beat a tough broncos team I think we'll only get better, but look alot of team would get hosed by teams with the secondary we were putting out there and wer still only lost by 2 pts mooby 10-10-2005, 12:18 AM i know this is a loss but our TEAM played AMAZING! The Skins totalling outplayed the Broncos in every way except for on the scoreboard (time of possesion, total yards, third down conversions). The Broncos had two big plays and those were a result of piss-poor tackling and LINEBACKERS being out of position. Something PERSONAL is going on here. There is no rational explanation for Levar Arrington being on the bench. I've yet to see Holdman make an impact play. I've been watching very closely. He sometimes make routine plays, sometimes miss tackles and sometimes runs himself out of the play. I would rather see Arrington making the occational BIG HIT then seeing some guy that MIGHT make a routine play. When Arrington is in on the play, someone is going down HARD and sometimes the ball gets jarred loose. Holdman doesn't have that ability. At best he can bring the man down. The Skins are not creating enough turnovers. On a lousy field with lousy playing conditions, I expect a few balls to be jarred loose. Right now, Sean Taylor is the only big hitter out there. The other guy is on the BENCH! What Hell is going on? JWsleep 10-10-2005, 01:21 AM Wow. We go into mile-high, where no road teams win, and almost pull it out. Our D missed two big plays. That sucks. It's disappointing. But we had a shot, and if we don't get robbed on the safety, we're kicking a PAT for the win. So, yeah, those long runs were disturbing, but overall, the D played well, without either starting corner. If this is how WIlliams wants the D, then I am ok with it. Lavar is not a magic bullet. What's more important is the TEAM--you do it in practice, and you get to play on Sunday. DOesn't matter what number is on the back of your uniform. I love Lavar. But I respect our coaching staff--if this is their decision, I'm behind it. But come on, this was a tough road game. We almost pulled it out. Why not just stick with what we've got, and keep working hard? This "let's change this, let's change that" tactic isn't always the solution. SOmetimes you take a loss, you pick your head up, and play harder next week. aprius 10-10-2005, 01:30 AM We continue to have problems with our D-line...the DT and DE positions need serious upgrading but we did not want to do that this year....Oh well, Let us pray Harris and Springs are back soon. We need Harris as a back up to Rogers and Springs. Jimoh can not figure what to do from one play to the next. He either gets burned for a TD or stops one. We need an upgrade at LB but I know who could upgrade that position quickly but GW and JG are still mad at him for comments he made in negotiations and in the offseason I think. |
