An interesting note about the Redskins' offensive production. The sports writers who have been dinging the Skins have constantly done so because of our "lack" of offensive production, so I checked the stats. Our offense has outgained such teams as Indianapolis, Denver, and Atlanta and yet no one is predicting doom and gloom for those teams. In fact we come in at #14 just one-half yard behind Oakland. The trouble has been in the red zone and that is fixable. Combined with a #5 defense and an offense that has steadily improved, I'm thinking wins in Denver (-12.5 yds. offensive production) AND KC (+5 yds. offensive production) is not out of the question.

somethign else about our offensive stats, is that we havent had to come from behind, except in dallas. The other two games we had a lead the entire game.

maybe it has something to do with scoring points, cuz we aren't exactly in the top half of scoring teams in the league.

It's better this way all these teams will keep under estimating us. We do need to score more points though.

Well, a little behind against the Seahawks trailing 3-0. But that didn't last long did it? When I look at the stats for first down completions it is very very impressive. 13 out of 18 shows a great improvement in playcalling and execution. Mainly the receivers are holding on to the ball. Santana has clearly established himself as a short or deep pass threat and allows Gibbs to develop a few more plays for Thrash, Patten and Cooley. This is a very good no-name offense if you ask me.

I don't care if the media criticizes the offense or if the offense is ranked 14th or 54th so long as the win/loss record is 3-0.
That is the ONLY statistic that they use to determine who gets into the playoffs. All the rest is merely interesting. It is only important to fantasy geeks.
