Whoa. I still don't think we can assume anything at this point. We are in an incredibly tough division and play four games against another. It's great to be 3-0, but I won't be thinking playoffs until we get 6 wins sometime before week 11.

need to get to at least 9-7 or maybe even 10-6 to even consider a playoff appearance. Lets see how we do against the Broncos and Chiefs before we start pawning our electronics for playoff tickets...

I would be thrilled with a 9-7 season even if it's not enough to make the playoffs. I just want them to be good so that the national media will lay off coach Gibbs. For some reason Gibbs gets no slack, Parcels has bad seasons and everyone makes excuses for him...Gibbs has 1 bad season and he's suddenly a scrub...

Whoa. Clean house after two years? Sure some teams go straight from basement to playoffs but we've been "cleaning house" every couple of years -Can we please aim for stability? Even if that brings only incremental change for the better, I'd be happy. I mean, the attitude of this team seems markedly better than Year 2 of Spurrier - that alone is worth a great deal.
Even if we don't make the playoffs, let's give Gibbs some time folks - three years is about right. I think the playoffs are a good goal right now (with more possible) but we have a tough stretch coming up and need to go 3-1 over the next quarter to really start thinking about the next step.
If we don't make the playoffs, but finish 8-8, 9-7 - I'd be okay with that (not truly happy - but not despondent either). As long as we win home games and some division games, it's a good thing.

so that fact that we look to be improving from one year to the next means we should clean houses if we miss the playoffs?
I think after week 5 we'll know if we're looking at being a good team or an average one. I wouldn't say we have all the best players or whatever though. 3-0 is 3-0, no more, no less.

Falcons lost the NFC champ. game, not the first round. I think we're at least moving in the right direction, so I don't know if "cleaning house" is called for if we don't walk away with the Super Bowl Ring, but...
I like your enthusiasm.
