I think if we can stop the run and make Plummer beat us with average wideouts we have a very good chance to win. Must keep the defense off the field in the high altitude to have a chance. Skins 24 Broncos 21.
Who Will Win Game 4jbcjr14 10-04-2005, 09:43 AM I think if we can stop the run and make Plummer beat us with average wideouts we have a very good chance to win. I say Redskins 13, Donkeys 10 JoeRedskin 10-04-2005, 09:56 AM The key, I think, will be mistake free football. No dumb penalties and no turnovers. If you think about it, Seattle played a near perfect game. No turnovers and only a few penalties - one of which cost them the game! (the pass interference on 3rd and 10 that gave us the ball at the 4 and that, in turn, led to a Skins score). The Skins had TWO penalties for 10 yards. Seattle had 8 for 84 (take away the interference call and it is 7 for 55). There were no fumbles by either team and only one interception. Seattle is a good team, they played a near perfect game, and we beat them by not beating ourselves. If the Skins can duplicate that effort against the Broncos - they WILL win, even if the Broncos, like Seattle, play near perfect football. Think about it, when was the last time you saw a game, any game, with as few mistakes by both teams? 10 total penalties for 94 yards and one interception? I can't remember the last one like that. Denver is a good team and we are playing in a tough place BUT, if we don't kill ourselves, this team is more than good enough to beat them. dmek25 10-04-2005, 11:14 AM isnt this the same team with all the cleveland brown rejects?when is the last time denver played the steelers?that is about the only defense in the afc that is comparable to ours.with an overrated champ bailey out, moss and patten might be in for huge games.skins 24-denver 13 BigSKINBauer 10-04-2005, 11:23 AM so chump is out for sure? i thought i really wanted to play against him and have santana break a big one but i really hope that he is out, with him out i think we can pass. The thing is our run wil be shut out, somewhat like what it was in Dallas. The crowd was in it the entire game in Dallas and the same will be here too. There is an overrated son of a bitch as a safty on both of the teams too. We will shut out denvers run game, they might pass on us but their receivers are not too good. I will have to break down more stuff before a prediction but i think if chump is out we will be able to pass on them just a little. dmek25 10-04-2005, 11:34 AM right now their saying he wants to play but doesnt have medical clearance to ply Gmanc711 10-04-2005, 11:36 AM The good thing is, Denver has basically no running game. Anderson hasn't been doing anything. Is Dayne going to be back? You know, I thought the exact same thing. Then I was watching sportscenter the other day and was shocked to see they are averaging 144 yards a game right now; I was pissed. I still think we can shut down the run and force Plummer to beat us. This is going too be a tough tough test, but last time we went into Denver we won behind Kent Graham, so we'll se what happens this weekend. onlydarksets 10-04-2005, 11:43 AM The good thing is, Denver has basically no running game. Anderson hasn't been doing anything. Is Dayne going to be back? The do have the third "best" rushing attack in the league: http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NFL/OFF-RUSHING/2005/regular?sort_col_1=7 I'm not sure highest total yards = best, but I'm not sure I understand why everyone says they have no game. Plus, Anderson put up 115 against the Jags (granted - they give up more yards than pretty much anyone else). MTK 10-04-2005, 12:26 PM Anderson/Bell/Dayne have been getting the job done just fine. Hail2em 10-04-2005, 11:26 PM I think the running game will struggle. Denver is giving up less the 80 yds per game. I think if we do the little dump off passes we can open up the passing game deep later on in the game. them little dump offs are pretty much like a run anyway. Champ will probably not play so thats a plus I think will will win by 4. seeing how we like the number 17. Skins 17 Broncos 13. |
