New England Patriots: Coach Bill Belichick will consider moving up from the Pats' current positions (No. 21 and 32 in the first round, plus two second-round picks and seven selections in the first four rounds) if he and personnel director Scott Pioli believe a player they covet will fall into their range, but he was adamant that he wouldn't deal into the top 10 because the cost would be prohibitive. The team had been involved in rumors that had them trading to get the sixth overall pick and Belichick termed the reports "ridiculous'' and "embarrassing.'' He also implied he's content to deal with the players and teams that will come outside the upper tier, telling the Boston Herald "two or three hours are going to go by before we even get to those teams (who could be possible trade partners).
They probably want Taylor. I'm going to laugh my ass off if they do this before the draft, only to have Washington take Taylor at 5
Of course, they will probably wait and see what Washington does.

This is in line with their whole philosophy. They should be able to plug in some very good players, (although not a top shelf corner) where they stand.

I'm surprised that the rumor isn't that they're trying to get the fourth pick, knowing that the Skins are there main competition for him.

You can't believe a damn thing these guys say this time of year, but I really don't see them trading that for Taylor.
