I dont blame him for being unhappy, he is one of the best defensive players on the team and I think he should be on the feild. Obviously, for reasons I dont know, hes not. If he honestly has no clue why he is not on the feild, and he dosent go up to a coach and ask "Coach, what do I have to do to play more." Then its just as much on him as the coach. I dont know, I hope he is on the field consistantly in a couple weeks. He's too good to take up time on the bench.

This whole situation is really starting to piss me off. If he is not playing so that they can cut him because of the cap I will not watch a game the rest of the season. That is a piss poor way to deal with a contract situation. He has served his time with all the changes in personel on this team and always played his heart out no matter what our record was and now one of the most athletic OLB's in the league is sitting on the bench. Don't get me wrong Holdman is playing good but there is no telling what LaVar could be doing. If they are trying to cut him for cap issues then they should give him time on the field and at least make sure they are making the right choice. If he plays bad then pull him and even ask him to restructure or take a paycut. If he is not recovered no one will trade for him with his contract so big and if they cut him he won;t get the money he was going to get if he was the player everyone thought he was going to be, but if he is 100% healthy, like he said he is and no one has said him sitting is a health issue, there is no doubt in my mind he would again he a pro bowler.

i think it might be holdman's job to lose right now, not the other way around... and others will trade for him, because they'll get the contract with all the signing bonus etc removed, so it'll be much cheaper and he can be cut at any time on that team with NO cap hit, unless a new contract is made.

Sportstalk 980 was playing a soundbite of Joe Bugel hinting LaVar is not playing because he is unable to play within the scheme. So far every game we've played was close and down to the wire. LaVar may make few spectacular plays but, one big play he's going to give up due to free-lancing will cost us a game. Therefore, I have no problems with coaches benching LaVar, but they should have told him why he's not playing. He deserves that much.

Couldn't we trade Arrington for a first round pick from some other team? After seeing the way Bobby Engram played against us, I'd kind of like to try a trade for him and a first or second rounder. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about; somebody let me know.

engram looked better than he was cause a rookie was covering him instead of walt harris, and PP wasn't manning SS for us.

Good points, but I've also heard good things about Engram over the last few years and he might be an excellent 2nd or 3rd receiver. Getting him and a high pick would be cool. Again, just speculation on my part.

So your saying Lavar free lances too much, and Sean Taylor doesn't? Don't agree. Sean and Lavar are very similar. Lavar is a team first guy and will do whatever the coaches tell him. Both are game changers. I just don't buy the freelancing argument.
