12th Man/FRPLG:

I don't know why Arrington is not on the field; only Gibbs and Willliams know that.
Exactly and I am almost offended you'd say that the reason he isn't playing is because of his contract. That's just ridiculous to me. It is clearly a performance issue.

Sooner or later Lavar is going to see the field. One of our LB's will go down, and Lavar will get to step up. He needs to be ready. I expect that Williams sees Lavar as an underachiever and wants him to hone his game.

With that said, I still believe that Lavar gives us the best chance to get the one thing we are missing this year. Turnovers. The defense just isn't getting enough pressure on the QB's and Lavar can change that. I would like to see Williams find a way to get one of his best playmakers on the field, even if he doesn't like everything about the way he plays.

Lavar needs to stay ready, it's a long season and he will get his chance.

I remember seeing Gregg Williams pulling LaVar out of Dallas game after just 2 plays. Williams made some kind of "cut-throat" gesture to say "You are done playing." I just get the feeling that LaVar is unable to play within Williams' scheme.

Kevikazi - I did not see that during the Dallas game, but if this is in fact the case it would explain a lot of things as towards why LaVar is not playing.

I listened to the AM980 broadcast, and I was impressed by LaVar and how he is handling things. I hope he has the fortitude to make it through this, in the end he will be a better player if he can fit into Williams' scheme.

IMO Lavar knows why, he's just having a tough time admitting that it's his own inability to play within Williams system thats keeping him on the bench, probably whats going on is the coaching staff is waiting to hear from Lavar with his actions on the field, and that will start in practice, and he'd better learn to change, because I don't see any scenerio other than injuries that Williams will back down and play the guy unless Lavar changes his mind set.

Bingo! Could not agree more. Anyone who has ever played team sports at any level (especially football) knows: 1) The coach rules. 2) any probs with that, refer to rule # 1. It is a dictatorship. Football coach is the captain of the ship and rules with an iron fist-no questions. Problems with that, get you plenty of 'Pine time"......... Even though Arrington comes off all about the team, and I think he means basically well. He uses WAY to many "ME" phrases.

I love the skins winning but I detect the distinct odor of bs surrounding the Arrington situation cuz there is absolutely no way holdman or clemons or even the 2 combined can match the playmaking ability of Arrington. The guys on the Comcast post game show they were mentioning that Holdman's name hadn't even been mentioned during the game and almost never seems to be around the ball and looking back at a lot of the footage they're right. This just seems like it's gonna get worse before it gets better but I hope I'm wrong.

The Washington Times is already coming up with trade scenarios, LOL.

I agree with whoever said it's a long season, LaVar is going to get his chance again.

Maybe the team is gearing up to move on from LaVar and get out from under his monster contract. Or maybe Williams and co. are simply satisfied with the current lineup and LaVar hasn't earned his job back yet.

Either way it's hilarious how the media is running with this. I think we all just need to stay patient, hell LaVar is and he's the one that's directly effected by all this.

If his name isn't being called it also means he's not getting abused for big plays.

Exactly....#56 must not be buying into the system...therefore he is not on the field. We really don't know the reasons, and it really doesn't matter at this point since they continue to win.

Wait,
if we cut Lavar after this year, doesnt that makes we take a huge cap hit?

our salary cap was starting to look pretty good.. finally gettting trotter off this year for the most part (he might still have a little left)
