There is no way they are gonna let Lavar on the Field this weekend, esp. after his comments on the Thompson show yesterday and the ensuing articles today. He has called Williams out and who do you think wins this battle? I do hope I am wrong though.

I'm totally with Lavar on this one. He is getting (doinked) over by the team on this one. Gibbs is lying, Williams is really lying, and Lavar gets the shaft. Now Lavar could be lying but if the dude isn't even getting reps in practice to show what he can or can not do then he is getting doinked by management.

It will be verrrrryyyy interesting this week if the D continues to slide backwards with no pressure on the qb,no turnovers, and a tendency to get softer on the run. No one can tell me that if we get a team in third and long and we need to get to the qb that you can unleash Lavar in there and it is gonna hurt the team. No one.

Look all I am saying is the team should be man enough, have the balls enough to put Lavar on the inactive list if they are gonna (doink) him in every other way and not use him at all. I would be totally happy with that if that is what the team needs to do. Hell they could use his spot on the roster to get another d-back or even a third kicker ;-) I want the team to come clean on this b/c this IS a distraction for the team and the mangement continues to fuel the fire by obviously lying to the public. Remember 9 months ago Lavar was still the FACE of the Redskins. The team has created Frankenstein's monster right in time for Halloween and they are the only ones who can kill it.
Mr. B.

LA is making too much $ to be put on the inactive list and if someone gets hurt LA better be ready to go into the game. He's a strong back up and provides good depth at LB. The team does not seem distracted at all over this as their 3-1 record would indicate. In fact I wish the team had been this 'distracted' last season.

Great info, correct me if I am wrong, of the 4 you have listed only LaVar plays OUTSIDE LB, and for all of his years he was on the strong side, over the TE. Which I think puts a little more credit on hit tackles, sacks, and forced fumbels. He was facing a TE and tackle on almost everyplay. the other three are MLB, which they are naturally in on more tackles. Notice, these 3 guys were all hurt at one time or another, most recently Urlacher and did they lose their jobs? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

You got it. Wouldnt' the not being able to pick this crap up come up at somepoint last year. Wasn't GW the one saying he couldn't wait to have a LB with Arringtons playmaking and "AGGRESIVENESS" on the field. He was going to make him a GREAT LB. what a load of crap and its coming from the box upstairs, and I aint talking about GOD, although he probably thinks he is.

um, we were #3 last year without lavar... if anything that proves the value of pierce or of having marshall's speed at OLB or the importance of our corners much more than the usefulness of lavar (whos been a total nonfactor since GW/JG got here).

That statement could only be placed here to imply that williams defense will crumble without lavar, but that makes zero sense, cause he's never played in it to begin with :P

we're 3-1 and our D is still doing alright, all this sky is falling crap has got to stop.

Bottom line, G. Williams knows what he's doing and I trust him. The whole Brunell-Ramsey thing should have taught all of us here in Internet-Football land to maybe have a little faith in the guys getting paid millions to make these decisions.

Words to live by, Mheisig I disagree. If he knew what he was doing. Denver and Seattle would not have scored. If he knew what he was doing then he would still be in Buffalo. He is not perfect and neither is Lavaar. But bottom line the Redskins have not blitzed this year. So maybe they are saving him for the long haul which makes a better thought.

I was just reading over on Extremeskins that Gibbs was on 980 today and said (paraphrasing quote) "I've talked to LaVar 3 times more than i've talked to any player in my 30 year history of coaching....he knows exactly why hes not playing and exactly what he needs to do to get on the feild."

Somthin aint stirrin the kool-aid, man.
