It doesn't matter who your QB is, you still have to catch the ball when it comes your way, and Coles has had a few costly drops this year.

Let's also remember Coles has had a player with a torn rotator cuff throwing to him and now they have a 3rd stringer playing.

Excuses.

He's not getting it done. Not even close. What's wrong with his hands? Why can't he catch when it comes to him, Daseal?

I still would like to see Patten get into it more...as well as Jacobs. Could only help as we make a run for the (cough, cough) playoffs.

I,too, would like to see Patten get some catches but he and Brunell are gonna definately need to work on timing. Each time, Patten had to either slow down or stop altogether and wait, that's not too good. I am a fan of Brunell but that's one of the things he's gonna need to work on. I think his timing with Thrash and Moss are pretty good but he and Patten are gonna need to work on it a bit.

His timing will improve as he gets more opportunity to pratice with the first teamers. As far as Coles goes he is clearly not the WE he could be. Anyone heard anything about his toe and its affect on his speed and cutting? The telling sign is that Gardner has been nothing for Carolina. This was a guy that many people thought had skills and given the opporunity could produce. He'd probably drop a bunch of balls but he'd at least give you something. Apparently the Gibss crew saw this to be a mriage and off he went. I for one thought he was a decent #2 who simply needed a change of scenery. I am glad I was wrong.
