Ok. Here's the scenario. I pulled up the Ring of Horror game on my TiVo last night and watched the 4th quarter with my fiance.......again. With about 5 minutes left, Brunnell completed a pass to Cooley near the sideline. The Dallas defender nailed Cooley and his helmet flew off. When the camera zoomed in on the Defender, it was obvious that his nose was bleeding, and when I say bleeding I mean it was really, really bleeding. He had a big wad of something he stuffed up his nostril. It was extremely gross, yet strangely entertaining. Anyway, my fiance says it was the end of a tampon. Did anyone else see this, cause although Ive heard about using those to stop nose bleeds, Ive never seen it done.

I remember that play but the last thing that crossed my mind was "is that the end of a tampon?"
We won that game "no strings attached!"...Ba-Zing!

Those are the same "wads" the dentist uses to cram down in yer cheeks when doing some work.
Personally I thought it was nasty to see that dewd with his possible aids infested blood all over the place. NBA would have side lined that guy until he cleaned all that up and stopped the bleeding.

Im just really glad it didn't interfere with the "flow" of the game.

I think that was Scott Shanle, one of our LB's who seems to understand the 3/4 defensive scheme. he may be a bleeder - low platlets count/hemophilliac. Don't know if I would be out there if I had to stuff some playtex up my nose to play.
