my wife got me tickets for my thirtieth birthday. it was really cool, she threw a surprise party (shocked the hell out of me) and gave me the tickets then . I cant wait the seats are in section 142 row 3 seats 3 and 4 so im very excited about how close ill be to the players. anyways i wanted some advice as to what i should do for plans since im from massachusetts. you know should i fly, drive or take a train what should i do for a hotel should i rent a car or take a taxi to the game etc etc etc. this is my first and only trip to washington this year so money is not a big factor (though im not rich). im sure that i could figure all this out myself but i figured i should get the advice of the people who do this all the time. hopefully i can hookup with some of my fellow skins fans for some tailgaiting. thank you in advance for all your help.

I would get a nice hotel like this one:

Omni Shoreham
Catch the Metro to the game, the station is just around the corner. Put a bottle of Champagne on ice in the hotel room for celebration when you get back, that's what I did.

It's a beautiful city (the parts I saw) with a lot of tourist stuff on offer, many great restaurants (one of which is in the Shoreham) and so much else.
Is it your first FedEx trip?

There is NOTHING like the first trip.:cool-smil
I lost my mind. The girl I was dating at the time was kind enough to put up with being dragged to the stadium 3 hours before kick-off, wandering around and taking photos of EVERYTHING. Make sure you hang out by the players entrance, they all seemed happy to talk, shake hands and sign stuff, particularly Lavar.
Dude, you're going to the Promised Land.:headbange
Oh, and don't forget to see Brud in his natural habitat.

You can spend 2 weeks easy in D.C and not see it all. I love that city. You can spend 2 weeks in the museums alone. Then there's Monuments,Old Historic houses, Old Battle feilds, the Natinoal Cemetery, and much much more. And to top it off you can see the REDSKINS.
Just make sure your Hotel is by a Metro station. Taking the Metro is better then driving into down town D.C.The Parking SUCKS! The Metro can take you to the game as well. But it's a long ride. You can get cheaper rooms in Green Belt Maryland.Which is about 13 miles from Fed Ex And take the metro into D.C from there. Then just take a cab to the game. It's only about 15 bucks. Just make sure you tip the cabby well and ask him to meet you after the game. Getting a cab out front of Fed Ex after the game can be a bitch if you don't have one already lined up.
Have a great time.I'm sure you will.
Hail to the REDSKINS!!!

i could drag my wife to the game 10 hrs before kickoff she's grown to love the redskins from being with me for so long. hell she went to training camp in carlisle with me which was a five hour drive. you should have seen how she gave me the tickets it was wild. well let me start from the beginning. at the party she had set all the tables up with burgandy and gold table cloths skins plates skins napkins and two skins picture cakes which was cool with all the damn pats, cowboys and niner fans around. so she gave me my present it was a family photo alblum and im flipping through this thing trying to act like i love it when i come across the two tickets with a stadium outlay right next to them it was quite the surprise.
