1. Nat'l Air and Space Museum (202)357-2700: *Single most popular museum in the world * Between 8.5 and 10 million people visit each year. * 6th and Independence Ave SW * Don't miss the Skylab workshop and To Fly! movie.
2. Nat'l Museum of Natural History (202) 357-2700: * Dinosaur skeletons and the Hope Diamond top the amazing treasures on display. * Cultural exhibits include Native American and Asian cultures. * 10th street and Constitution Ave NW.
3. Nat'l Museum of American History (202) 357-7200: * Henry Ford's original Model T, Dorothy's ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz movie, Fonzie's leather jacket from "Happy Days", and Archie Bunker' famous chair are just a few of the exciting exhibits at the American History Museum. * 14th st and Constitution Ave.
4. Nat'l Gallery of Art (202) 737-4215: European and American paintings, sculptures, decorative arts await you. * 6th and Constitution Ave. NW
5. Arlington Nat'l Cemetary (703) 557-0613: * Nearly 250,000 veterans, the crew of the space shuttle Challenger, John F. Kenedy are interred in this 612 acre national burial ground. * Guarded around the clock by an honor guard which changes every 30 minutes. * Memorial Drive, Arlington Va.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial (202) 634-1568: * This dramatic lanscaped black-granite wall of names has become the most visited monument in the city. * It is inscribed with the names of 59,000 service men and women who died in the war or are listed as missing in action. * Constitution Avenue, between Henry Bacan Drive and 21st street.

Mount Vernon - Home of George and Martha Washington - Found South of Alexandria on a beautiful drive down Washington Parkway. George Washington was a creative entrepreneur, farmer, and first Commanding General of our Nations Military, along with becomming our first President. Museum on grounds has artifacts of Washington Family.

The Nat'l Capital - Home of both Houses of Congress * Sit in either the Congressional or the Senate Gallery and watch our law makers at work! Visit the Congressional Office Buildings accross the street, witness commitee meetings, or visit your State Congressman or Senator!
The Supreme Court Building - Take a tour of the Old Supreme Court Building, including the basement where the first court held the public's attention, and was the stage for much drama even in the early years of our nationhood!
