I have to agree, 30% is a generous statement. For out team to earn respect and be feared on offense as much as we are defensively, points need to be put up on the board, I still do not think that Brunell is our answer. We cant seriously forgive that man for pulling a rabbit out of his ass the last few minutes of the Dallas game (as sweet at it was) what about the remaining 3 other quarters? I did like seeing how much he improved during the pre-season, thats the man I want leading my team to victory lane. I'd also like to see Portis run more on the outside, give the man some blocking and let him earn his paycheck. Its still early in the season, I see that we are improving and I hope it continues.

Here's a link to a Si.com article about how the remaining undefeated teams will fare. Guess who they have doing the worst?

LINK (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/andrew_perloff/09/28/undefeated.teams/index.html)

Here's the money quote...

"Washington Redskins (2-0) -- The Redskins' defense is nasty. But I'd be surprised if the offense ended the season ranked any higher than 26th. Their schedule gets tough in a hurry, with trips to Denver and Kansas City looming. And put down Washington's next game against Dallas as a loss. Chance They'll Make Playoffs: 30 percent"

I will admit that we are not on the same level as Indy, but a 30 percent chance?!?!?! No respect I tell you.

The worst part is his Dallas quip. He forgets that we beat them IN DALLAS.

Your Thoughts?

If I may add ... NFL.COM had a poll yesterday on "which team could suffer it's first loss in week 4." After I voted I found out that 75% voted for the Redskins to lose.

If you ask me I say ... more fuel to the fire ... it will just make me yell all the game more louder this weekend ... "95,000 Redskin fans together ... can't lose!"

It seem's people are making judgements about us not having watched Brunell for the last 4 minutes against Dallas, how anyone could pick against us after that performance is beyond me? Don't they know that Brunell is now a totally different QB than he was a year ago? I guess none of them saw Brunell in the pre-season. I also don't believe they really know what Portis did while playing in denver, coming out of denver he was on pace to break every rushing record known to mankind, even last year with us he had one of the great seasons a Redskin ever had over 1300 yards, averaging a little over 3 yards a carry, anyone can get 1300 with a 4.5 average, Portis did it the old school way, how many backs have what it takes to gain over 1300 yds averaging 3 yds a carry, Portis has that kind of toughness, if only they could see through their bias to make fair and objective predictions, don't they know Gibbs is concealing most of our game plan until we really need it? Once he deciedes to unleash it boy are these experts going to look stupid! I can't wait! :biggthump

We could do without the tinge of sarcasm.

We get it, you love to dish on your favorite team.

To each his own, but I don't get it when fans are so pessimistic. I guess you could argue it's being realistic in a way, but what fun is that when you're talking about your favorite football team.

I can't speak for everyone, but football is a type of escape from my everyday real life reality. How fun is it to doubt and second guess every move that your so called favorite team makes? I have enough doom and gloom in my normal life, I don't need to carry it over to my hobbies and things I enjoy.

Just my 2 cents, I guess I'll never understand what joy there is in crapping on your team.

LOL Sorry, but that was pretty funny.

That's how I feel. Sometimes when things aren't going well with the girlfriend, the Redskins are my alpha and omega of happiness.

Yeah actually I was stretching things there, I don't really have much doom and gloom in my real life (knock on wood) or much to complain about.

I actually laughed at the sarcasm...don't be hatin!! I think offiss is just giving us a realistic reminder that our offense is anemic, our special teams needs to be vastly improved, and we got pretty lucky in the last game. That being said, for some reason Seattle doesn't scare me. Not having any decent draft pics next year scares me, Seattle this week does not. I think we'll be 3-0 and the talk of the league next week. That being said, if we don't find some offense, and soon, we will do a swan dive later this season.

Actually our special teams are pretty good coverage-wise. I'm waiting to see some big returns however.
