Skins vs Hawks PredictionsSUNRA 09-27-2005, 01:45 PM The offense finally turns the corner. Portis finally scores a TD. And the Redskins keeps another RB under 100yds. Redskins 24, Seahawks7 Bozzy 09-27-2005, 02:02 PM I really like the Skins in this one. I think this a game we need to win, at 2-0 and going into week 4 theres not to many "must wins" but I really think this is one we have to have. The Seahawks dont play well away from home, and you saw what happened when they played a good defense in week 1 against Jacksonville, and I think we should shut them down. Hopefully we work Portis well, and I think hes going to have a good game and the offense will finally open things up a bit. I like the Skins 24-14. You really think the Skins D will allow two TDs? Wanga Skins 09-27-2005, 02:06 PM Shaun Alexander is held in check by our run D (22 carries, 78 yds) but manages to THROW a TD pass to Hasselback who gets injured early in the 1st half trying to celebrate in the endzone. The Skins then go on to pound away with Portis (21 carries, 145 yds, 2 TDs) and add a fumble recovery TD ( hit by ST and returned by Washington) late in the game to come out with the victory!! 3-0!!! Final Score: Skins 27 Seahwaks 13 TheMalcolmConnection 09-27-2005, 02:09 PM The offense finally turns the corner. Portis finally scores a TD. And the Redskins keeps another RB under 100yds. Redskins 24, Seahawks7 I'm feeling this happening as well. I think we FINALLY will mix up the playcalling on Sunday and keep the Seahawks guessing. We did that last year when we blew out New York, so Gibbs KNOWS we have it in us. Schneed10 09-27-2005, 02:27 PM Some key things to note: Seattle has given up 108 yards rushing per game so far this year, very average. But starting tailbacks have been held to less than 4 yards per carry. QB scrambles have helped hurt the Seattle rush defense, including 43 yards from Vick. Their rush D is a bit underrated. Their offense is really balanced. They have the #4 rushing offense and the #6 passing offense, so you can't just shut down Alexander. If you don't pressure Hasselbeck he can do damage with Engram and Jackson. With those things in mind I see a very defensive battle. I do think we can shut down Alexander and the passing game too. But I think they're going to do a good job on Portis too. Redskins 16 - Seahawks 13 djnemo65 09-27-2005, 03:33 PM 13-9 Skins, with Springs scoring our TD. VTSkins897 09-27-2005, 03:34 PM the redskins will KILL them wash - 56 sea - 13 VTSkins897 09-27-2005, 03:38 PM okay that was a joke. i expect our D to hold them but not completely shut them out. they might churn out 13-16 points. i am MORE interested in seeing if the offense can finally open it up. since the excitement from the dallas game has lessened, i hope that brunell and the guys can put up some points early in the game and then lock down defensively instead of playing comeback. in addition, i'm interested in seeing if it was just by chance that brunell matched the number of good throws he had last year (except in 4 minutes). i hope he isn't out of them. PR for pres.! Bozzy 09-27-2005, 05:29 PM I think we will open up our offense. Gibbs now has confidence in Brunell's deep passing ability. This should open the run for Portis. 38-9 skins Riggo44 09-27-2005, 06:12 PM the redskins will KILL them wash - 56 sea - 13  I'm with ya! But I think the score will be REDSKINS-28 SEAHAWKS- 9 with there only T.D coming in the last 5 min. |
