offiss 09-26-2005, 02:13 PM I don't see how we deserve the kind of respect that is reserved for elite teams, what seems to have been swept under the rug in the dallas 9er game, is the 31 points san fran put up against the boy's, san fran with Tim Rattay pushed dallas all over the place, we were lucky to score at all against dallas, and we are looking for respect? I think it's better that we earn it, rather than beg for it. Our record is not a good barometer of our play, and that's why people are glossing over our team, and our record, as a legitimate contender.
skinsguy 09-26-2005, 02:19 PM Not sure if it was a respect thing. No matter how a team wins, if it hasn't lost a game, the team's undefeated.
True though, until we start winning back to back games, scoring over 20 points a game, and winning by a margin larger than two, it's going to be tough to get respect.
JWsleep 09-26-2005, 02:20 PM I saw the graphic and was a little pissed, but whatever--as I've said before, I'd much rather be underestimated and slip under folks radar than be hyped-up by these clowns.
And it's true that all we've done is beat two under .500 teams from last year; the Seagulls are a playoff team. And then we've got some very tough road games in Denver and KC. So we've got a ways to go before we deserve the hype.
But still, we are undefeated, the graphic was about undefeated teams, and KC was on there at 2-0. We're giving up an average of 10 points a game. Isn't that something??? And we won on the road. So f*** em, and let's just keep proving the nay-sayers wrong. Step one: beat Seattle.
BigSKINBauer 09-26-2005, 08:05 PM we are undefeated therefore we should be on the graphic, i don't care if we cheated to win, we are undefeated and therefore we should be on the graphic. Respect has nothing to do with it, us winning by 3 points instead of losing by three points has NOTHING to do with it. It is bull shit and i wish theismann said something. I haven't heard him talk about the skins since he bet against us in the dallas game.
We won by 3 total points this year. I couldn't care less. We won. People don't give us respect for losing by less than a TD over and over but when we win it is a fluke??? It must balance out, we lose some close games and now we win some close games. It is not like we sucked last year it is just that we couldn't get the 3 or 4 points we needed to pick up a win. Now that we are picking up those points we deserve as much positive respect as we got negitive last year
SUNRA 09-26-2005, 10:32 PM I'm betting that even with a win in Week 3, there will still be no love for the Skins. Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe it will keep a chip on their shoulder throughout the season.
But let's face it; these are the same clowns who had Arizona (0-3) winning the NFC West. And had Oakland (0-3) as the team to beat in the AFC West. Miami (2-1) was supposed to be the pathetic basement dweller of the AFC East. How much credibility should we give them for picking playoff teams after 3 weeks? They get paid simply to run their mouths about football and act surprised when nothing they predicted goes right. The Skins get paid to win football games no matter how ugly it might seem. Guess who's doing the better job?
I think we've been down this road before. If we get pass Kansas City, Denver, Giants and Eagles we deserve respect. Our divison games are key to getting the respect we deserve.

They were listing all the undefeated's and left us out I wouldn't over analyze it. I think people are making alot out of nothing multiple playoff teams already have losses.
BigSKINBauer 09-28-2005, 07:25 PM Ofcourse we weren't ranked with them, i forgot we are 1-1!

mattdouthat 09-28-2005, 08:10 PM that is ridiculous. That is disgracful and unprofesional to post records that arent true.
BigSKINBauer 09-28-2005, 08:23 PM I can't believe this, i just can't it is stupidity, really, I think most of here could chant off the records of each team without any help, they just have to look at the standings on their own site
