While enjoying dallas losing (hope it lasts) drew bledsoe passed joe montana in yards passed. 40 thousand something. Thats such a pantload. Its not fair that a QB can throw a 1 yard screen, the receiver runs 99 yards and the stats say the QB threw for 100 yards. Give the receiver 99 and the QB 1.

The receiver gets it too. Also, there is usually a YAC category these days too.

Yea i know the receiver gets it...shoulda left that part out....but the QB shouldnt get a yard more than where the ball was caught.

i disagree, for example brunell on his second pass of the last game owned and threw a perfect pass, he deserved the full 70 yards for recognizing that moss had the biggest potential of going to the house. It is just that QBs have options and by throwing a 1 yarder they make a decision and if it is a good one then the receiver probally will go for many yards therefore they deserve the yards in my opinion

there are definetly a lot more rules dumber then this one. this one isn't even dumb. how can you dis-cred a qb yards just because he throws to a spot and the reciever puts on extra yeards.

How about if you intercept a pass on a 2 point conversion, run it back 100 yards, you don't get 6 points???
How come Punts are measured from the line of scrimmage and Field goals from the spot of the kick?
How come Oliver Stone is still allowed to make movies?
These are the things I can't understand.

While I hate a tie (like kissing your sister. Believe me, it's over rated), I HATE the NFL version, which basically means the game often is determined by a coin toss.
Why not some version of the college system where both teams get a chance.
If you score, and I don't I lose.
But if you score and I don't get a chance, how fair is that?
IMHO

yeah that is what i meant the nfl version. I like two ideas, first to 5(which i think is the same thing as first to 4) points or the college rules. College rules are very nice and defenses have to put up a stop while the first to 5 rule forces it to be either a TD or two field goals, also a safty and field goal would be a win.

If the NFL can finally adopt the 2-pt conversion, why not the OT?
