I hope it's safe to start talking about next week's game already. I was checking out the stats on the Hawks at NFL.com. It seems they can put a few points on the board, but their defense would appear soft against the pass. In week 1 they allowed about 250 yds to Leftwich, 130 of which went to Jimmy Smith. They seemed to shut down Vick & Co. pretty well in week 2. Alexander and Hasselbeck are the keys on offense for them.

Hasselbeck has only been sacked 5 times so far and has thrown for over 200 yds each game. Alexander is sporting a 5.2 ypc and coming off a good game against the Falcons.

I think this would be a good time for coach Gibbs to open up the offense more and go to more intermediate routes in addition to taking our shots downfield, hoping that will pull some guys out of the box and allow us to open things up for CP. I think our defense can contain Alexander the way we've been playing lately but we do need to harass Hasselbeck and pressuring the QB has been a problem for us so far.

It's probably a little early - once they play this week it'll be easier to break down matchups.

I wonder if Shawn Springs feels like he owes the Seahawks a little extra?

good point he may be wanting to get a little even after being dumped for being 'hurt too much'

last time the 2 teams played, the defense kept hasselback under 250 and Alexander under 100 and I don't see any reason that can't be done again since their wr group isn't as talented as it was 2 years ago and our defense is improved roster wise as well as our awesome coaching staff. Plus the skins won despite ramsey throwing under 250 with 2ints and our duo of rbs running for 115 yards. their defense doens't really frighten me and hopefully Williams opens up our defense a little more unlike how conservative the gameplan seemed Monday night.

As long as Williams keeps teams under 13 points, I don't care how he does it. He seems to be the master at making people think they are going to see one thing and then he shows them something else.

Does it amazing anyone else here that even though we didn't sack Bledsoe, he couldn't find his receivers the whole game?

I thought it was going to be a problem. Not putting (what I thought) enough pressure on the bledsoe. I know it is what they expected. Liberal doses of jailbreak blitz. It totally worked. I guess Williams can get it done, and never let you have what you have perpared for! Clever dude!! I'm sure he wil gice the Seahawks what they do not expect

I watched some of the Hawks/Cards game out here. Seattle has a good offense, but the Cards, well still are the Cards. Seattle has trouble putting teams away at times. This is a very interesting match up. Glad I get to see the Skins at home on TV out here at least.

it will definately be defense vs run game to me. I think our secondary can covere Seattles WRs with no problem. On defense for us, whatever works. If the Giants loose tonight (Sunday) and we can win against Seattle we'll have a sole possesion of 1st in the NFC East. Even early that will feel really good.
