I remember being amazed at Santana's yards per catch when we traded Coles for him. Now I can see why it was so high. He averaged over 30 yards per catch last night!!!! Granted, that was a career game for him, but he had some great runs after the catch in the first game as well.
As for the celebrating, he is just like Monk used to be. Give the ball to the ref and move on. I'm sure all us Redskins fans, coach Gibbs included, made up for Santana's reserved celebrations by how nuts we went. My brother and I were jumping up and down hugging each other like a pair of little girls after that second TD. Seeing Gibbs go nuts was amazing. I have NEVER seen him that happy.

I noticed the same thing and completely agree. The showboating gets so old and tired from the likes of TO, Joe horn and so on. Seeing a pro like Moss haul in two gorgeous passes for game winning scores in the final minutes of a huge game, and then simply high-five and flip the ball to the ref is a very refreshing site.
Truly a Redskins-Gibbs player.
I liked it, but give me a little more emotion in the end zone. Maybe he can bring back Gary Clark's backward jog through the end zone or even his jumping spike between the legs

So many critics scoffed when we traded for him and look what we've ended up with. A true homerun hitter that this offense so desperately needed. Is there any doubt who got the better end of the deal at this point??
I always knew this guy was fast but damn, he's faster than I thought and what really strikes me is how fluid he is. He's silky smooth in his routes and he doesn't loose any speed at all moving in and out of his breaks. He's the kind of WR if you hit him in stride he's gone.
As long as he can stay healthy he could be in for a huge year!
Absolutly! I loved him coming out of college and saw him quite a bit with the jets, but I don't think I really comprehended how fast he really was until our opener.
My thought on him with the jets was the jets never really appreciated his skills, I also think partly because Pennington couldn't reach him with that noodle arm of his, negating his ability to stretch the field and run past defenders deep, as we saw last night

everyone's talking about his speed, but whattabout those HANDS man? talk about CLUTCH, and not even a bobble. my man was 100/100 (r.i.p. 50/50). how refreshing is it to see legs *and* hands on our team. finally.

Lav who?
He's certainly not the answer for the Jets.

One other thing I noticed about Moss, he was one cool cat after both touchdowns. I could just see him thinking after the first one "No reason to celebrate yet" and after the second "That's what I do". Talk about acting like you've been there before. That is exactly how I like to see guys on this team act. Very classy, I hope to see a lot more of this.
Great observation like he had ice water in his veins. By not doing celebrating it makes him seem very intimidating. Like he has absolutely no doubt he can roast everyone.

Santana's performance was made even sweeter by seeing just how abysmal Peerless Price has been in Dallas. What did he have, like 1 catch for -1 yards yesterday? Awful, just awful You know, I actually forgot that the cowboys had him. He really wont mean much to them anyway.
As for moss, I knew we had a gamebreaker when we first signed him and he is jsut proving that and will continue to do so the whole season and the entire time he's with us. The moves he made on that first TD were amazing. He pulled a triple move and completely twisted the DB around with his quickness. Not only does he make his cuts without losing any speed whatsoever, he is also extremely quick right after the catch. If you go back and look at his 52 yarder in the bears game, you will see that right after he caught the ball, he made a little move to the side that was so quick it was almost unnoticeable, but was the key to breaking away into the open. His speed, quickness, hands, and overall mentality makes him a great WR and he is definitely one of my favorite skins.
