My favorite win ever was the 1982 NFC Championship game victory over Dallas.. As for regular season wins this one ranks up there with the 1991 comeback victory over the Gmen in the Meadowlands. The Redskins needed to prove they could beat the Giants that season before going on to win the Superbowl, and much like tonight they trailed late into the game until Rypien hit Clark on a bomb off a half roll. EternalEnigma21 09-20-2005, 02:26 AM This is better than that just becaus its the cowboys and statistically it was sealed up going into the fourth quarter. I cant stop laughing. lol Skinfomaniac 09-20-2005, 03:35 AM :lol:I can still hear it !!!!! the crying goes on for Cowbeeacchhes everywhere and our fans are High as a kite !!! I doubt i will sleep and this friggin smile will be with me for weeks!!!!:):biggthump:laughing2 Skinfomaniac STPainmaker 09-20-2005, 03:38 AM Awesome game I thought Parcells clogged arteries were gonna blow after that second TD. Luxorreb 09-20-2005, 03:44 AM Bigger comeback than the Colts against the Bucs a few years back. Everyone new Peyton could do it. Noone believe Brunell could. REDSKINS HISTORY!!! The Day the Earth Stood Still. ukfan 09-20-2005, 03:49 AM Its been a few years since ive screamed at tv like i did today. And because it was about 05.20 am in england when it finished bet my neighbours were not happy JWsleep 09-20-2005, 03:52 AM LOL. Right on, ukfan! dblanch66 09-20-2005, 03:54 AM It's among the best regular season victories in skins history, but there are many great post season victories that top the list for me. I also think Super Bowl 17 is WAY up there too. 4th and 1... And...regular season: Moseley hitting the record field goal in the snow to beat the NY midgets. 12thMan 09-20-2005, 04:09 AM Man, I'm just getting home - I honestly was torn between staying out all night and getting here to share this moment with you Warpathers!! What a freakin' win!!!!! I was at RFK in '82 when we beat Dallas to go to the SuperBowl - this win, in my mind, is right up there with that one. No question!! For the first time in years this team really showed they had heart. This is a different bunch of guys....even from last year. I really don't how to explain it, but this is a defining moment for this franchise. What a win - I couldn't stop yelling!!!! There's much to be said of Brunell's performance, but that guy has more guts and heart than I thought. After that sack by Roy Williams and the constant pounding from their defense to bounce back and to hit Moss, not just once but twice is quite impressive. If anyone doubts who got the better of the Moss trade they need to think again. OH, and Marcus Washington - what a heart!!! |
